It's not your fault he's an idiot!
THEY wouldn't have respected her opinion either, if they were more in the conservative side!!!
Both sidea are going to be crafting soundbites to appease their constituents. The rabid left can count on Durbin, Schumer, Kennedy, Kerry, and Boxer for their part.
Good on Brownback, to dispute DEM accusations re: "no cases on civil rights" with a summary of 4 caes that Alito DID rule in, where the issue was civil rights ;-)
Facts are fun. And they are free!
He's my senator too....I hate that POS
CNN bias alert...
TWICE they've done this now. They showed Chuckie's testimony in full, then as soon as Cornyn began speaking went to "analysis" by Wolf Blitzer and Jeff Greenfield. Then they took a commericial break. When they came back, it came as no surprise that DURBIN was speaking. They showed his statement in full and then went to a commercial break as soon as he finished.
Despicable. Show the Dims but not GOP Senators.
He is so bad that when he dies, the devil will ask God to get him of hell.
Durbin's saying that he wants judges who will advance a specific agenda--his own, in his statements, of "expanding freedoms". He tried this same line on Roberts and got immediately shot down.
Right. That's why it makes me laugh when liberals say they fear a theocracy overtaking the country. Exactly who would head it up? Pat Robertson? The Pope?
Sam Brownback up. Love this guy for 2008.
You know. The cases where the babies are really, really dead, and not just dead.
He makes my skin crawl.
We Texans would welcome you with open arms!!!
Cube bound. Does Chucky have poster boards up?
I need to leave to pick up my grandkids. Ping me if anything more disgusting than Durbin's testimony occurs, please.

Durbin Opening Statement
[Ed Whelan 01/09 03:02 PM]
Virtually every sentence in Durbin's statement contains what might charitably be called a serious misstatement. He doesn't understand the "unitary executive". He doesn't understand that the plaintiff in Griswold had to work hard to get himself fined. He doesn't understand that judicial expansion of "freedom" necessarily limits American citizens' ability to define what genuine freedoms are. Now he's linking Alito to the mine tragedy in West Virginia. It would take 25 pages to respond to all his distortions.
His insincere assertions of sincerity are stomach-churning.
NO, Cornyn said it, remember I was paraphrasing; typing quickly after it was said so it may not be exact but I am very sure that I caught the spirit of what he said.
Don't you mean "dead" vs "super dead" vs. "super duper dead" it DOES make a difference you know?
I don't call his office anymore...they hang up on me...
I'm in from work....but need to leave shortly to take my dad to the doctors....what have I missed?
I am Shocked. NOT! That's why their ratings are well below FNC!
