Dude!
I broke you down 3-4 posts ago and you choose to quote that one.
I thought USC played a hell of a game. They are a great team.
I just think the post I said that in was very moronic
Enjoy your 'victory'.....cough, cough.....lol.....rofl
I noticed that too.. but i was like... hmm what the heck we might need those seconds! :P hehe
Well, only if you consider 304 yards "almost identical" to 467. Frazier had 199 rushing and 105 passing (6 completed of 14 attempts, 43%), while Vince had 200 rushing and 267 passing (30 of 40, 75%)
Not really that close. But I'll admit that that Nebraska team may very well have been better than this Texas team. Depends on how one views Florida's offense (with their best receiver going out with a broken leg early in the game) as compared to USC, but the NU defense almost certainly was better than UT's.
It was a good game. Texas or should I say VY played great. He is a freak. How many guys does it take to tackle him?
Congrats to UT.
To USC, there's always next year...
Plus, according to an upthread "screencap", with 5:12 left in the game, USC led Texas 38-26. USC did not score again, while Texas scored two touchdowns AND a two point conversion. I kept saying that whoever got the defensive stop in the fourth quarter would win the game, and tonight it was Texas.
Both teams can be proud of the effort, and the posters can be proud of an excellent thread.
Your so right. Last year, Auburn should've been the undisputed champs. Going undefeated in the SEC is a sh*tload more impressive than anything Carrol's Greeks have done in the last few years.
It would have been 1st and goal. Texas was moving the ball at will at that time so it's not like it was doubtful they would score.
The score also rushed the extra point and gave USC time enough to get a field goal. That is a 4 point swing.
If USC had held Texas to a field goal then it would have used up the clock and USC would not have had enough time to get a field goal right before the half.
Either way, it works out the same.
"Enjoy your 'victory'.....cough, cough.....lol.....rofl"
I will. Because we're the best. And Leinart's a bone smuggler.
Twelve, apparently. Unfortunately for SC, you're only allowed to have eleven :)
Tommie Frazier was a GREAT QB! If he didnt have blood clots he would have have made a huge impact in the NFL!
No. This is a bigger deal. Everyone in the sports media is saying that this USC team is the best all time. For UT to go and beat them-- with two Heisman trophy winners is astounding.
I heard somewhere that if VY comes out, the Titans may try and make a move for him.
I'm a Sooner fan and therefore genetically programmed to like Barry Switzer. However, one must admit that he has the ethics of Bill Clinton and not so coincidentally hails from the same state.
My girlfriend called me at the end of this game...and she isn't even really a football fan...but she was so hooked to the game that she had to surprise me and call me. I told her, "then it really WAS a great game!"
See you on the SOTU thread. What day is that, anyway?
I agree with your logic.
Texas won, I think USC got robbed.
Those views are not mutually exclusive, IMHO.
If you watch the last play, SC blitzed two or three guys and each one of them got drilled by the Horns line. Absolutely drilled. Knocked on their arse. It was sweet to see.
Earlier in the game, Bush picked up a blitzing backer from UT and that backer went down. One more component that the GM's in the NFL will like.
He does have that "brokeback" look to him doesn't he.
