As a UT grad, I stand up for A&M whenever they play anyone but Texas. I greatly admire and respect the tradition of school and the Corps.

It was a great game.

I sometimes find it strange that one team is though of as the looser when about 90% of college age kids would gladly forfeit five years of life to play in the Rose Bowl game on that field, win or lose.

Great Game! Our Texas Longhorns won for our "W". Jenna Bush's Alma Mater.

After Oklahoma and Michigan fell so quickly out this year, it seems to me that the 1st poll this next year might be a bit more circumspect....

I wish that polls would come out much later. It makes it so hard for a team that is ranked out of the top 15 to ever climb all the way up.

This happened to Auburn last year and to Georgia Tech in 1990.

I know I should have been pulling for Texas, living in Texas and all, but I just couldn't do it. I'm a contrarian by nature. I rooted for the Deceptacons over the Autobots, Cobra over GI Joe, and USC over Texas. It's good for the state and to spread the wealth of the Championship, and they are a classy program. Vince Young has a great story and was the MAN out there tonight. The Hype Bowl delivered.

That's exactly what Bush is likely to become. That kind of player isn't worth a top pick in the NFL draft, though . . . a player like that doesn't fit well in the NFL.

Thanks devolve! I'm not a big football fan but had to watch my Alma Mater in this game.

I have an idea this time even my die hard TT family would have been cheering had they been here.

This was the National Championship!

yeah I know.

I am just thinking about Madden 2007 already :)

Switch it over to fantasy rosters and have Vick and Bush in the backfield :)

Okay....Vince or Reggie, #1 draft pick???

Bush. Houston needs a running back (well they need alot of things) before they need another QB.

Leinart just called Vince a "freakish athlete." (On ESPNNews.)

Again, I ask, WTF?

Absolutely; the Rose Bowl, least to me, will always be the grand daddy of them all.

Ghads, look at that freeway fill up.
