"All the so-called Christians who spend their time worrying about who'se a heretic and who isn't is gonna have some 'splainin to do to the Savior when He said, "Those who aren't against us are with us."

Did Jesus say that? I'm unfamiliar with it and would appreciate a Biblical reference. Thanks.

If I researched what YOU say and what YOU do "in real life," you'd be in heap big trouble. Paul was a killer, Peter a pompous braggart, Thomas a faithless doubter. Paul and Mark couldn't even get along.

There is nothing wrong with telling the Truth, but too often the "point" of the truth is to "out" perceived heretics more than it is to bring people into the Kingdom, and based just on sheer numbers, the Crouches have done far, far more of the latter than you or I will ever do. That is not to excuse behavior, but it is a statement of fact.

Appreciate a straight shooting post that flies according to The Word.

Ec 10:12 -
"Words from the mouth of a wise man are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him;"

Mark 10:38-41:

Now John answered Him, saying, "Teacher, we saw someone WHO DOES NOT FOLLOW US [note, not "does not follow YOU"] casting out demons in Your name, and WE FORBADE HIM because he does NOT FOLLOW US. He's from TBN. [sorry, I just threw that in!]

But Jesus said, "Do NOT forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. For he who IS NOT AGAINST US IS ON OUR SIDE. For whoever give you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward."

Again, there is a huge hangup here by people more concerned with figuring out who the heretics are rather than actually bothering to preach truth. See Mark 9:38-41.

Hal Lindsey performed a great service by pointing out that there were important prophecies fulfilled in the 20th century. He got in trouble when he insisted on having Jesus return in his lifetime, and distorting scripture to "make it happen."

He ain't dead yet, LOL. However, is first book after the breakup of the Soviet Union (can't remember the title), in the early '90 nailed spot on the threat we are facing today from Islam.

Thank you. Mark 9:38-41, where Jesus is speaking, says "Do NOT fobid him [from casting out demons in My name], for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of me. For he who is NOT AGINST US IS ON OUR SIDE."

These people show up on a set that looks like Larry Flynt's mansion and give a platform to the likes of Benny Hinn and Kenneth Copeland. Good riddance to them.

I agree Hal still has MUCH to say, but I think we are a long, long way away from the 2nd coming. Just my scriptural-enhanced opinion. David said that Jesus's enemies would be "His footstool" before the end times (right now, His enemies, well . . . if they aren't winning, they are still not crushed beneath US, and we are the only "Jesus" in the world right now!)

Paul, also, said that we would come to a unity of the faith before the end. There are some indications we are heading that way---old denominations are finally starting to become "community churches," (also see George Barna's book, "Revolution," which I think is as prophetic as ANYTHING Hal ever wrote, and it has no prophecy in it at all). And I don't mean the "one-world church" crap. I mean a true Christian church.

However, I disagree with 99% of my brothers and sisters who interpret the phrase, "No man knows the hour or the day" as meaning we WON'T know---I take Jesus literally when He said "knows," meaning no one alive then knew . . . but that didn't mean that over time revelation would not be given. Moreover, think about this, if we don't know the hour, why tell us (forget the passage) that Jesus would come at sunset???? In other words, I think when it's time for Him to come, we Christians will have PLENTY of warning. It will be the nonbelievers to whom He comes like a "thief in the night." (BTW, think of this: can a thief surprise you if you have a heads up by police that he's in your neighborhood that night??)

Again, if you don't buy this, fine, let's not get into a big debate about end times. I respect Hal, but I also think he has outlived his usefulness as a "prophet" in the kingdom.

Careful of whom you speak. If they are anointed by God, it could well be good riddance to you, for no one is to obstruct God's plan. You might not be attracted to the set, but excuse my french, who the hell are you? Did you EVER think that maybe SOMEONE is attracted to that? And that SOMEONE will receive Jesus in a way that (God forbid) you didn't? No, that couldn't be possible.

And for what it's worth, I love Ken Copeland.

NO, actually these people are blasphemous. One in 5 people pray towrds Mecca every day, 1/5th of the earth's population, and God has NOTHING to do with that. They're big and growing because they take the easy way, the "broad road", that Jesus spoke of. The easy downward path to hell. Jesus wouldn't even be seen having lunch with Paul and Jan and co. Literally "and company".
sheesh
They are the birds, or "ministers of the evil one" that Jesus talked about. Or wolves in sheep's clothing.

And preaching to them wouldn't have anything to do with converting them, would it?

Do you realize what you said? Jesus "wouldn't even be seen having lunch with them?" Do you really want to go to scripture with that doozy?

Get real. For you, church is obviously about "Me, myself, and I." Very important to sit up front, like the Pharisees, while Jesus was eating with the GENTILES (the Muslims of the day).

I've a nasty feeling that God dropped both of them a while ago.

How would you know just how much the Crouches have done?
Are you counting the number of actual souls won, the amount of cash brought in, or the number of TV stations they have accumulated? Or how many people have been bought off in order to keep things out of newspaper (which failed) from the
homosexual affair? You are blind.

And since you don't know how many they've won either, bug off. Jesus would be sickened by the amount of time you spend carping on people who AT LEAST preach the gospel, and do it 365 days a year. I keep whispering in your ear, Gamaliel, Gamaliel. Take his advice: when in doubt, shut up.

Certainly. These people are frauds, con artists and they are running a business. They make merchandise of the flock. They are lovers of money, and as Paul warned- avoid them.

There is nothing wrong with eating with a sinner. But a hypocrite? Never. Jesus called them a pit of vipers.

What he said was, Jesus wouldn't be seen having lunch with Paul and Jan. That's probably accurate. Jesus generally avoided the church-going "righteous" types of his day. Jesus likely *would* eat lunch with those of other religions, or those without religion.

Lots of physically hungry people could be fed for the price of the TBN set. Jan's annual makeup and hair budget could probably put a poor kid through college. Christian love shows itself in our love for each other, not in either the size of our church membership rolls or in the extravagance of our "ministries."

Secondly, you should know that Mohammed converted the people in the area of Mecca, who worshipped Baal- the moon god (which is by the way muslims have crescent moons at the top of their mosques) converted them to islam. They're still Baal worshippers today. What did God say to do with the worshippers of Baal? Eat with them?
