Not sure your mind can think like a criminal. If I'm a theiving politician and I only have 2 terms in office, I need to extort all the "free" flights and meals as possible from lobbyists in those 2 terms to get my "investment" back. Also they can easily still do outright criminal activity by "selling" their vote.

Fact is people in power are always being targetted. If you don't vote the most strong willed moral/ethical person, then you risk them selling you out. To me the real answer is full disclosure and real enforcement of the laws.

Any individual can freely give to any politician they want without limits. But it must be diclosed within 1 business day for amounts over $5,000. And 1 week for smaller donations.

Any unreported donations and you're prosecuted facing 1 year of Jail for every $1000 not reported.

Looks like my plans just changed.

The boy hit a deer. No damage to truck or child, but plenty of butchering ahead.

Honestly, if they are guilty of taking payoffs throw them in jail. Republican or Democrat. I'm getting sick of this shite.

I hope all the guilty go down. Whether R or D, or whatever.

What impressed me about FR back in 1997, when I started lurking here, was the strong commitment to routing out corruption in government. That is party-blind.

C-SPAN has been planning to air that for weeks now. It was just weird that he would plead guilty on the day they were to air it.

They were doing it to get the viewers caught up on the topic.

I assume you support Patty Murry. So, is the corrupt Patty Murry going to return the $78,000 (at least) she received?

While we're at it, looks like the corrupt John Kerry picked up even more (over $98,000). (Why he needs contributions at all is hard to figure. It would be simpler for his wife to just raise his allowance.)

I see the corrupt Maria Cantwell only got around $22,000. (Must have been someone else who paid off Maria's campaign debts after she got elected. I wonder who?..)

So, let's do the same thing you did. Now that we have some dots, let's connect them.

Hmmm... Both Washington Senators are corrupt. Connecting another dot, so is John Kerry. Hmmm... These corrupt Senators were all feeding at the same trough. Hmmm... AhHa! A Conspiracy!!

And... This proves it! The whole Democrat party in the state of Washington is corrupt! It's not just King County and the Governor! And... Their supporters are too!!!! That could mean even.... (drum roll please)... MurryMom!!!!!

I'm just connecting the dots, of course, just like you did with your attack on President Bush. And with the same lack of evidence.

Of course, this line of superficial thinking is more than just a "tad" over the top. Just like your "connect the dots" attack on President Bush.

Great Idea, but it will never be realized because too many people like to vote for free stuff.

Ouch! That is too bad. I'm glad the boy is ok. Do you have to call G&F when something like that happens if you take the meat?

Not in my neck of the woods ;^)

It's all cut up in quarters and in the fridge. I'll get up tomorrow morning and butcher it.

The back strap tasted good though! Mmm-mmm!

"The whole Democrat party in the state of Washington is corrupt!"

I agree with that much. This is the party of Tammany Hall, after all.

When all the crooks are finally counted, I'll wager that MORE Dems than Pubbies are involved.

But I bet you won't hear that from the old media.

"No, I'm not a troll....my goodness, people seem to be so paranoid about that over here!"

People don't usually say "over here" unless they've been "over there."

Dennis Hastert returned $69,000 in Abramoff money by donating it to charity today. There is a difference between having taken legal campaign contributions from Abramoff and taking BRIBES from Abramoff. Only Congressman Bob Ney of Ohio is named in the scope of investigation document that the feds put out today. Two congressional staffers are also identified but not by name. The speculation is that they are an aide to Tom DeLay and an aide to Congressman Doolittle of California.

What's the difference between a R or a D who is corrupt?

Not a damn thing! Both are crooks who disgraced their voters.

Hope Congress throws all the rotten crooks out on their ear.

This will probably explain why a GOP controlled House and Senate
"allows" the known traitor, hanoi kerry, in their midst.
