World Terrorism : Weapons of Disruption Onging...

Weapons of Disruption

C 2006 Frederick J. Cowie, Ph.D.

Whereas we have no masses, it certainly would be seriously challenging to deliver a "weapon of mass destruction" in the vast majority of geographical areas in the American West, as well as in many areas in the East and South. For instance, Montana is approximately the size of Germany, yet the population hovers only around a million (we have one representative in the House). There is no "metropolitan" area anywhere around, though Spokane is about three hundred miles away. Wyoming has more sheep than people. Utah has Salt Lake City and a few nearby populous areas. Nevada has two populated regional areas, Las Vegas and Reno. North and South Dakota have, well, a few folks here and there. Idaho folks are few and far between. I swear you can drive from San Antonio to El Paso without seeing a city policeman, because I've done it several times. Then there are Arizona, New Mexico, eastern California, inter alia. The point is we have a few population points, while the rest of the states are empty excepted for isolated small communities. Thus, out West we probably need to talk more about "weapons of disruption." (Some folks say "weapons of mass disruption," but we have no masses!)

You must ask yourself: What would I do if I were a terrorist (or a terrorism preparedness instructor) looking into the ramifications of launching a rural terrorism attack? Personally, I would concentrate on considering the consequences of disruption rather than mass destruction. Here are a few scenarios you might want consider when your local rural emergency management/response group gathers to discuss terrorism exercises.

1) Wildland Fire Incidents: Incendiary (mostly wildland) warfare has been used by military strategists for at least 2500 years, over a thousand years before the use of gunpowder. The western U.S. is disrupted, seriously disrupted, every year by wildland fires. Quite a few are started by humans, accidentally and purposefully. Starting dozens of major fires in a dozen western states could be a brilliant line of attack if militants wished to disrupt America. Thousands of security personnel could do nothing and the perpetrator/s would probably never be implicated, much less captured. Are you prepared?

2) Railroad Chemical Incidents: Many railroad main lines go through tunnels. A few strategically placed armor-piercing shells in a series of chlorine cars, along with appropriately staged derailments leaving the leaking cars in the tunnels, could shut down many main line routes in the West. Spin-off scenarios are numerous. Ready?

3) Flammable Liquid Incidents: Bridges are not easily brought down from below and approaches to bridge support structures are often highly visible and randomly monitored. However, on CNN we all have seen many tanker truck accidents involving burning hydrocarbons which have made bridge structures unusable. How hard would it be to have a few terrorists steal trucks and drive them (as opposed to hijacking planes and flying them) to strategic bridges over wide rivers or narrow gorges, ignite the gasoline (or diesel or crude), block the approaches with other incendiary or chemical releases, and make the structures extremely dangerous and impassible to highway traffic? Gotcha!

There are many variations of these themes. You probably have or can make up many more plausible, novel, and easily implemented rural-specific attack scenarios. Design exercises around them. If you want to stop terrorist events you must think like a terrorist and quit fighting last year's war!

Peace, thanks, Fred

That is a 60 million dollar question. In one word devastating.

One thing to think about it is not just gas pipelines, it is the whole worlds infrastructure.

We discussed this over on the Threat Matrix thread over a year ago. You might enjoy this.

You aren't helping defend against a tactic by telling the enemy what it is and how to get it to work. You have the tactical sense of a blueberry scone.

I think that these kids are far from what we know of cleaness.

They ate the chickens, threw the sick dead ones in the trash.

I can, in my minds eye, see my little brother Ray chasing
me with a chickens head, teasing that it was going to bite me.

We are talking about mud hovals with dirt floors and no education as we know it.

I am sitting here, attempting to think about my childhood.

We also lived poor, went out to the well, took the bucket, dipped it into the cow's water tank, a big one that the windmill kept filling and there was the clean water for the house.

a tin washbowl That you put water in and I suspect that all of us washed our hands in it, when it got real dirty, throw it out the door on the dirt and start over.

So scratch the clean hands.

Even today, if I had chickens or or other poultry, I would turn them loose to eat bugs.

So that means your shoes or bare feet, track it all in the house. Even today.

Then we had plank wood floors, which we swept with a broom, no electric available, so that means all the droppings from the tracking in, was airborne and in the lungs.

And that is how it works in the poor areas of the world.

Plus, I read in one of the promeds, that in the cold areas
the natives brought the chickens in the house for the winter.

When you are praying for the next meal, you are not going to bury a dead chicken, you eat it.

Poor people eat a lot of chicken, by the time I was 9, I could go and catch one, wring its neck, pick and clean it and cook it for the family.

It is dinner on feet.

We might get a slab of salted pork fat, but not beef or pork to butcher and without refrigeration on a Texas sharecroppers farm, we didn't have a way to keep meat.

That is why, in the poor villages, disease goes wild.

And it wasn't that my parents were useless, my dad was an alcoholic, who worked hard when sober, he was an excellent mechanic.

It was simply the way poor folks lived.

Now, I think I am awake, need coffee. No matter how I try, my days and nights are switched.

I wanted to hear Steve Qayle talk about the nuke found in Arizona that British Chick posted about, so listened to part of it and managed to black out through the good part of Qayle.

When I heard the Hmong man tell George about it, he also talked of the Chinese doing it and a video. His voice caught my full attention.

I did not expect it to be that easy to find the details on.

It is possible that the bones are wanted for some wild cure.

Could you ask the man you know about disease at that time?

Battle wounds, hunger and fear of course, even freezing to death or to the point of diseases taking over.

I know that some of the scientists dig up the old graves to get the diseases samples.

They did with the 1918 flu germ and then published the DNA in a paper, so that it can be reproduced in a lab.

About 1960, in the west, metal detectors hit the public market in the west, and they were used to find graves for robbing.

Out here, they are to be found along the wagon trails, at the mines etc.

We were having strange illnesses and flu's in California, and some thought that disease was being released to us from the graves.

There are large indian villages still in the west, that are
empty and no one knows where the residents went or why.

20 years ago, I was active in the Archeology world and was invited to 2 different digs, hidden, towns that the public does not know of.

It was tempting, but at the time I could not get away.

Every mining area has a graveyard.

Today, I would suspect that Russia was testing bio-disease on us, they had the labs even then.

I know what they tell us about the disease mutating, but,
I also know what they were testing, the russians, the nazi and the japanese all did it during WW2.

Did you see the thread that Calpernia posted on the test labs that the Japanese had?

But it would

Do stay safe and be careful.

Keep in mind all the burning/flames in Cindy's posts of websites.

There are too many photos of burning flags.

Thanks for catching this report.

This morning, I heard a caller to KDWN talking about this and other reports like it.

The host stopped him, told him that his report was not creditable, it came from un-known sources.

Like CNN, is a reliable source.......LOL

I listen to him, to keep up on the latest brainwashing techniques. He is a pro.

He will take the liberal side and push it for 3 hours, then in the last 5 minutes of the program, say something like:

" I don't really agree with the report, I read it to create conversation"..and gets away with it.

I am often tempted to call and tell him that i know which numer his platform is in the communist manifesto.

Jaber is a name that I had heard before.

Could be it is really Jones, so of course, I knew it.

Arkansas keeps coming up for the terrorist, remember the ones we took a look at, when following the message that had,
the highway numbers in it, to get from the mex. border to New York, a few months ago.

We had a bunch of them in Arkansas turn up. (University students and instructors).

I can't find the link for the gangs, didn't Calpernia post it as a thread?

Take a look at the gang links that Cindy posted this morning, about #2194 of TM, it was not far from that number.

Next time you have a good idea, by-pass the relatives and send it to Dr. Bill.

He will either tell you it is no good, or develop it, if it is that good.

No, I don't mean he will steal the idea, but he would tell you why it won't work.

Most of the ideas don't work, but once in a while he gets
excited about someones idea.

At least he can turn it into the Gov. where it would be looked at.

Just checked the weather in your area.

Mid-eighties, even warmer tomorrow. 8% humidity. 30 MPH wind gusts.

A horrible scenario.

My Dad and I are getting worried about all the timber we own in east central Texas. Much rather lose that than a home or a life.

Prayers to all.

Cut is just like copy, only, instead of leaving the thing where it was, and
putting a copy of it somewhere else TOO, it takes the thing away from
where it had been and puts it into a new location.<<<<<<

That is about what I expected it to do.

The problem is that I have never found the location where all those "cuts" are stored.

I have played with it and could never see that it had done anything....

If I use the highlight function, copy, and paste, can't I do the same thing?

I think (the liberals) they think that we (the west) are just smarter
than the terrorists. I think we obviously have a superior culture as far
as achievement goes, but for cunning and bloodlust we may not be in
the same league.<<<

You have said it well and are correct.

I think the missing key, is their mental illness.

When you hear hours of people saying the same thing on the radio talk shows, you get an idea of how they have been brainwashed.

They are programed to say, show love and you will not need war. And Amerika is evil.

This article caught my eye and it confused me, so I posted it. At first I thought it was a terror prevention class, then a report on what they were doing.

At the least, I wanted it looked at by others.

It was in one of my 12,016 unread google alerts.

The links in it that I checked were to the company programs.

I was too tired to understand it.

go ahead and move it over if you want.

It might be a good idea to granny google it.

The Chinese use bones, bladders, etc in the tonics they make for healing.

It would not surprise me that they would use human bones.

There is a broth made with beef bones, for sick people, in the old days, you fed them the marrow out of the bones.

The French Chefs, keep a pot simmering, in which they throw all the bones and herbs, makes a good soup base and is more than likely where bouillion came from.

When I still could cook, I would do the same, I have a 4 gallon pot, set it on low and throw all the tuff ends of celery, onions, etc.

After a big cooking session for a big meal, you will wind up with 3 or 4 gallons of good vegetable soup, at almost no cost.

Then freeze it.

You will never hear the names of the roofers.

Then one of these days, they will show up in a report on the trial, being delayed (as Jaber was).

The listings for "Sacred" made me reach for the tinfoil.
