It could be a very painful adjustment, but I tend to agree with you.
You may build all of the walls that you want in Alaska. You may not, and will not take Texas property to build a wall. WE Americans may take Mexican property to build a wall on their side. Never on the Texas side. I do not apologise for this stance.
Rat, I respect you. I vehemently disagree with the concept of giving up American (Texas) land for "peace". Mexico is a corrupt sh!thole. I shall never cede even an inch of land to Mexico (again). We won the war. Remember the Alamo.
The mexican army would go down faster than iraq. Their air force is a joke.
They did a background check on you with the info you provided.
Never understimate the domestic resistance.
I know that Tony Snow is totally interested in stopping illegals, but his opinion is that a wall is no way to do it. The wall will only cover less than 25% of the border, and he figures the entry points will only shift to the places where the wall isn't.
If I misunderstood what Tony Snow said, I am confident that there are some attentive Freepers that will set me straight.
Go ahead guys, really piss off the American people by telling them what they can or can't do in their own country. Keep it up and you'll find 11 million people suddenly back in your country and you'll be wondering what you're going to do with them all.
As for allies to Mexico, I would also suggest Bert and Ernie, Yosemite Sam, and perhaps Deputy Dawg.
Tough one. Who ya gonna believe? A "journalist" or a government bureaucrat?
We don't need a wall. We need a $250,000 fine per incident for employing an illegal alien. Widely publicize the fine and apply it a few times. The jobs would dry up and the problem would solve itself. Even the illegals already here would go home. The revenues collected from the fines could be used to pay for the enforcement.
lets build the wall and add a deep moat.
1. Democrat Party
2. ACLU
3. Mecha
4. The Wall Street Journal Opinion Section (which I normally love, but let's face it, they represent Bush's pro-illegal immigration, cheap labor policies.)
so
5. George Bush?
In related news, U.S. government officials finally figured out that they could increase revenues by taxing all of the dollars being wired to south of the border. Claiming that it was more than likely made illegally, they slapped an immediate 50% tax (the amount middle America pays on their income - Fed, State, fees, etc.) on all $ wire transfers to Mexico. They also announced that the tax would increase by 10% every year until Mexico keeps its citizens in its own county. The money will be used to compensate American taxpayers for all that they have shelled out for education, medical, etc. for the law breakers over the years.
Alright, this isn't really news... I've had a bit of spirits and a girl can dream, can't she!?!
This TPS business is absolutely rediculous. There are AMERICAN CITIZENS without the benefits that TPS grants to criminals who come here illegally.
Deport every one of those illegals, and lets see how Vincento Fox likes that, and what he and the guatemalan president can do about it.
And it's time to enforce the monroe doctrine. Who are these people to have the audacity to meddle in our affairs?
Last time Mexico tried that it didnt work out very well, IIRC.
Oh, and somebody call Tom Tancredo.
You forgot the RoadRunner.
"The mexican army would go down faster than iraq."
Yep, something like 130,000 people, mostly used for internal law enforcement duties, no combat experience, low morale. No tanks, about 600 VERY OLD APC's. Very little artillery.
The navy has a few WW2 era destroyers, IIRC.
"Their air force is a joke"
10 F-5A/Bs, donated by the US, and about 60 cropdusters/armed training planes.
It's worse than a joke, it's practically non-existant.
Yeah, this is some sort of surprise to the Mexicans? They call it imigrant backlash? As if we -ever- had any love for them in the first place? ha!
Shoot them all back over the wall (made of 7 foot thick kryptonite), using giant circus cannons.
