The President has the full legal and constitutional right to authorize wire taps of suspected terrorists in the US, citizens or not, and without any warrant. Take your crap to DUmmie Land.

Let me ask you this. When you make a call on a cell phone...Is there an expectation of privacy? I do not believe there is as your signal is being transmitted through air for anyone to pick up with a scanner from Radio Shack.

I saw your tagline and you are a member and high ranking official of the libertarian party. How can someone be a member of a party that can never win anything? This is an indication of your low political IQ.

WARRANT HYPOCRISY
http://www.nypost.com/postopinion/opedcolumnists/60368.htm
Excerpt:
THOSE desperate to undercut a wartime president think they have a real "gotcha" moment with regard to President Bush's decision to allow the National Security Agency to monitor international communications without a warrant. Yet two past presidents allowed warrentless physical searches in domestic situations.
In 1993, the CIA did warrentless searches of the home and office of Aldrich H. Ames who later pleaded guilty of spying for the old USSR. In 1994, reports the Washington Times, President Clinton authorized warrantless searches to fight crime in public housing projects.
In 1978, President Jimmy Carter's attorney general, Griffin Bell, testified about warrantless searches he and Carter had OK'd against two men suspected of spying for Vietnam.

The Constitution gave him the right...
it is the way that Congress and judges screw around with the Constitution that is the problem...
Besides, NONE of these people deserve the "due process" you refer to...unless they named the latest military weapon the DUE PROCESS!!

Bob Barr is WRONG and the Constitution and Due Process is what the President has on his side.
To: jsubstance
Bob Barr is dead wrong. This is war, not a criminal investigation. Big difference.

The Constitution? Due process? Ever heard of them? Bob Barr is right. Yes he is; but, you won't get any mindless party groupies to agree with you. Their adopted political dogma is rooted mainly in emotional hyperbole.

Bob Barr is a moron. I know the rabidly stupid do not understand reality but Americans do NOT have unlimited rights. WE, as a society have the RIGHT to impose limitations on their behavior. Civil Society is NOT the libertine wet dream the pseudos intellectual "Civil Libertarians" claim it is. We have a RIGHT to self defense. Sorry twits but the rights of Citizenship do NOT apply to people plotting to kill Americans in job lots. Since the JUDICARY, THE EXECUTIVE and the Legislative ALL reject your emotionally hysteric opinion on this matter, you assumptions about "Due process and the Constitution" are just the deluded ravings of a politically bigoted loser. We are a Constitutional Republic NOT a minority based dictatorship. Win an election and we will listen to you until then your petty OPINIONS on Constitutionality are just so much hot air. Sorry but the case law and the FACTS do NOT support your arrogantly uninformed OPINIONS here.

"Due process" my ass!! The American people vest in the POTUS full responsibility for National Security. Nowhere does the constitution state that this responsibility is subject to veto by some unelected idiot judge. You've grown too accustomed to "pussey" presidents like clintoon and carter with their nose up jihadist butt. The USA is damn lucky to have Bush as POTUS at this critical time. The jihadists, after having such an easy time clintoon/carter, were not expecting to have their nose rubbed in it by Bush. I say keep up the signals and radiological surveillance Mr President and if ANYONE attempts to interfere thereby jeopardizing national security, suspend Writ of Habeas Corpus" and throw their ass(es) in jail like Lincoln did.
To: jsubstance
Right. And the first thing you are going to hear from these same people following the next attack on this country is a demand to know why it happened, why didn't the government do more, why didn't they know, why didn't they do something, what kind of intelligence breakdown happened... etc, etc, etc, ad nauseum.
