LONG LIVE RED CHINA (Would you like your troll mein with soft or crispy noodles?)

China will never go down, and don't think you can banish communism. Because the people won't let it. They know they are the last standing, they are the only ones left. America is in a decline while China's climaxing, America will go down. We are just done with our prime, if anything, we were going into a depression since 1992 (and don't say you don't know that year). Communism is the American's medias' worst nightmare, because of censorship. I hope we all have to read one newspaper and wipe my butt with one brand of tiolet paper. I hope we all die for our next generations to wear the red armband. We deserved 9/11, and they enjoyed it. You probably hate me now, I know, you just still think like its 1945, well too bad its 2005. We only stand to fall.

Just hanging out. It seems strangely quiet around FR tonight. Just waiting for bombs to start dropping or fires to be lit! LOL

Hi, 'Face!

So far behind on this thread, I have no chance of keeping up.

I took a look at the new "submission forms" for the output of the committee this session... AIIIEEEE!!! It used to take maybe 30 minutes to fill out a form; the worst one now will take half a day, the best an hour. And this with three days for preparing 5 documents for submission (which requires a lot of editing of the documents themselves).

Our legislature is truly stuck on stupid this year; I've seen some of the worst of what they're trying showing up in quite a number of bills -- I guess under the rubric of "you only have to get lucky once." My counter: "I can cut & paste letters faster than you can file." (I ought to be working on a letter on a bill filed today... but I need a rest.)

Got my shots for India today. The nurse was superb. I've had more painful mosquito bites... but the arm's beginning to ache & throb now.

Did I mention I have jury duty in the midst of all this mess? I wonder if I can bring my laptop and work on my India powerpoint while waiting to be called...

Heard mention of there being a two-day meeting being called in your neck of the woods in the near future -- Las Vegas? A short trip from Seattle; not so the guys back East.

How are you doing these days?

"What's happening??"

It's kinda quiet. We're just sitting around knitting our space-suits.

"Knitting spacesuits huh?? And what type of fiber are ya using??"

It's a combination of different high-strength woven fabric fibers and layers of reflective, insulating, and air-tight plastics.

The trick, like all such types of (armored) construction, is to maintain the integrity of each layer across the seam boundaries, and of course to end up with something that will be moderately comfortable when worn.

I'm not even hoping for attractively stylish.

Inserted into the layers are tubings for heat and heat removal, as well as sensors for monitoring. It's a complicated business, but I figured you knew that.
