Congressmen John Conyers is demanding the censure of George Bush and Dick Cheney, and an investigation of possible impeachable offenses.

"I am calling upon Congress to create a select committee similar to the Ervin Committee, which investigated President Nixon’s Watergate crimes. This select committee should investigate those offenses which appear to rise to the level of impeachment," Conyers said.

This is no big deal, just more in the endless stream of DNC propaganda and disinformation intended to confuse the voters.

Yeah, that's the ticket. Let's take this right into the midterm elections. Let's make sure the issue of national security is kept front and center before the American electorate. Make sure Americans know the depths the democrats will sink to in order to hinder the presidents ability to conduct the war on terror. How they will put themselves and their own evil, greedy lust for power above the desire to keep America safe from attack.

John Conyers is a fool!

Apart from their overeager co-conspirators in the Legacy
Media, the DEMs (Domestic Enemy Mob) are getting zero
traction on the "civil rights" assault against Bush, and
there are likely several reasons for it.

1. People recognize that no abuses are taking place.

2. People see the dems as total hypocrites on anything to
do with rights, in light of their near total silence on the
recent BCFR and Kelo SCOTUS outrages.

3. Sabotage of the war on terror, energy independence, etc.

Even McPain and Dewhine wouldn't be stupid enough to go along with this idea. Any Republican that would, might as well retire now.

Wasn't Conyers the one pushing the so called election fraud in Ohio. This sounds like sour grapes to me.

The rats are working overtime trying to bomb big in 2006. I think they're going to pull it off.

When is the MSM gonna investigate THE FACT that at some of Conyers' press conferences members of his staff have stood in the back of the room handing out anti-semitic literature?

His people have called the war in Iraq a war for Israel. How come this gets ignored?

Conyers has no credibility. He is the guy who thinks Diebold stole the election. I think he even posts at the DUmp.

1. It will never happen because the Republicans are in the majority.

2. The pitiful way that Vietnam was going to end was already decided by the time of the Watergate hearings. The situation in Iraq is in doubt and I can't believe there are enough irresponsible congressmen of either party to push this very far.

I should add that I don't think it is impossible for the Republicans to lose their majority at midterms and then to have a serious fight on impeachment. But even then i think calmer heads will prevail.

Don't be too sure. Just when John McCain begins to sound sensible, he goes for the strawberries again.

How many times now over how many different issues has Conyers called for the impeachment of President Bush? Yawn.

This call for a "Nixon like committee" will not work this time. Times are different.

Merry Christmas everyone!
