In the Presidents address to the nation Sunday the 18th, 2005, he made this statement, It is true that Saddam Hussein had a history of pursuing and using weapons of mass destruction. It is true that he systematically concealed those programs, and blocked the work of U.N. weapons inspectors. It is true that many nations believed that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. But much of the intelligence turned out to be wrong.
This is the confession many Americans have been demanding for years now and for what-ever reason, the President decided to make this confession before the world community in this address. But is this a true and accurate assessment of the situation as we now know it, based on the facts?

You should just ask the mods to remove this thread it really shows a bad side of the people on FR.
Thanks!
This is true. The poster should have put something like (not what you think, folks) after the title. Just a suggestion for the future.
Hello Newbie,
Welcome to Free Republic.
OHHhhhhh man after a stressful day that laugh I got from reading your post just added 5 years to my life. Thanks! I am going to bed now to read a nice soothing book before someone posts something to raise my BP back up!
You're starting to sound like me...lol! I've been welcoming people all day long ;)
No worries...
From now on, I'll post the entire article so as not to confuse...
Thanks!
It is NOT what you think it is.
Calm down Folks ... everyone here was a newbie at one time, and everyone here posted their first article link at one time, and even some of us lurked for a while before daring to post their very first linked article, but this is really unbecoming of the FReepers that I've known in the one year that I've been a member (yes, it is only one year for me (although I too lurked for a few months before joining :)), and I too got knocked around on my first 'proper' thread post (I changed the title of the article .. Mods nailed me on it)
C'mon, lets be reasonable here
Isn't this country great?
It's a provocative title. I guess that got them too mad to read any further. Anyway, the Moderators must have read it, since you haven't been zapped yet.
Good idea, think I will too.
I expected people to read the column.... Oop's!

I'll go get the hand stamper for those who want to leave and return to the thread. lol
Bush has it right in the war on terror.....
Right at the end for those that completely read the article. There is very little that I need beyond that. The rest is comment. True, GWB under the pressure of the hyenas and jackals of the MSM,and their political allies, may falter slightly at times. The president cannot always get it perfectly right- that is no matter in the great scheme of things. On George W. Bush, the man.
His moral resolution stamps him as one of the greatest leaders to emerge in the last 100 years.
rofl!
Any problem with posting the whole article?....people are lazy
Music sites and porn sites seem to be the worst. I have everybody and his brother in here using my computer when I'm out, and before I put in all the spyware blockers I used to get a ton of stuff from Kazaa and other music downloading activities. I had to edit the Registry by hand, and sometimes it took a couple of days to get rid of it.
