The governor's request came after politicians in Graz began a petition drive to rename the stadium, reacting to Schwarzenegger's decision last week to deny clemency to condemned inmate Stanley Tookie Williams. Opposition to the death penalty is strong in Austria.

Sometimes Death penalty is the only option. How can people defend a person that have killed so many. How can the overlook the horror he has cause. To me its stupidity.
From a European point of view.

Good on Arnie! He takes their prejudice to the logical conclusion. If you are ashamed of me get off my name altogether!

Perhaps it is over-compensation for the fact that they were not so 'wishy-washy' during the period, 1938-1945 when their country was an integral part of the '1000 Year Reich'? You recall that multi-ten-million slaughter fest don't you? Maybe you should cut them a little slack already, and hope that the Governator's actions and similar reproofs of life bring then back a little closer to a reasonable level, before 'Eurabia' becomes a completed event, and not merely a dismal prophecy?

Seems a little miffed. I don't blame him. He returned his ring from them too.

The ring must be returned to the fire in which it was forged!

Yeah, its a lot more than the bargained for I bet. The people over there still like him and he is there favorite son. The leaders tried to make a political correct point off of him. He retaliated with a nuclear missile. I bet a lot of the people are not happy to lose their favorite son. That was one vicious political retaliation from across the sea.

I just read the story on Drudge. Great response by Schwarzenegger. He's asking them to cut all ties with him and sending the ring FROM the Austrian city back. "It's all ready in the mail." I love that direct response.
