It's not up to Arnold now. He doesn't have to step in. He doesn't have to say or do anything. He can silently allow justice to be served.

If I understand the situation correctly, it's not a matter of "Why has he waited so long?" or "Why hasn't he made a decision?"
The gist of it is that unless he *does* do something, the execution goes on as planned. In other words, the governor (at this point) isn't even in the loop. It's a legal matter which the courts are handling.
This isn't to say that Ahnold won't make any public statements, but absent any action prior to the scheduled execution date, Tookie dies.

Looks like it's all over, except for the riots.

That sounds so liberal, and unbecoming a Freeper. I would offer to duel over such remarks, were it 1805!

I think it's 50-50 chance but at least Arnold has an escape clause. He can now say that since the CSC couldn't find any legal discrepancies he is obligated to side with justice as being written by law and judged by the jury of peers.

I can only imagine the horror and fear that his victims felt. The tears their families cried.
This murdering monster lived 26 years too long.
Schwartzenegger is making me nervous by taking so long. Some (not me) might say if he upholds the death sentence that it was cruel to let the murderer have hope all these days.
That, and he sleeps with a Kennedy.

Arnold better not dare stick his fat head in the middle of this. He wont. He is smart to wait until the very last minute. Keep passions in check.

Isn't it one minute after midnight on Tuesday? Or is it in a little over three hours?

At first I thought it was a good idea to wait until tomorrow as riots are now being predicted here and maybe its better that people are at work. But come to think of it I was at work on a week day when the La riots happened in 92 and they told us all to go home, so it didn't make any difference! And I guess the people that riot don't have jobs anyway.

Let him live but give him huge amounts of estrogen the remainder of his life.
Ahnold will let 'em off.

Have you considered he didn't want riots over the weekend?
To: SteveMcKing
Good point and I agree.
The mutant, Toothless Tookie, must die. Justice must be served.

"What is taking Arnold so long."
I like that he is taking so long. Let the SOB wait and hope!
If there is a riot then I guess Tookie's little book didn't teach anyone anything. It will just make me laugh louder.
(I just hope no one gets hurt, excluding the people rioting)
