Spitfire is named after the WWII aircraft which was foremost in the Battle of Britain and coming from the South East of England we took the brunt of the bombing.
Shepherd Neame Brewery which is about 10 miles from where I live describe the brew as
"Crafted from traditional varieties of English malt, this golden ale combines an underlying depth of maltiness, tinged with a subtle hint of toffee with the bold citrus and fruity spiciness of Kentish hops, to produce a well-balanced, thirst quenching, popular drink"
WOW!
AWESOME STORY!
Thanks for sharing all that!
I don't know if I want my beer to be tinged with a subtle hint of toffee with bold citrus and fruity spiciness... I want my beer to taste like ummmm beer. (smiling)
