Merry Christmas and keep in touch ..ya hear!
My Seaman Recruit grandson just received his permanent(I think that is what he called them) orders after more training ..*Hawaii*..He is elated.
Good morning all!
The Blanco memos on Katrina are hitting this morning, something I have been looking forward to with relish!
XNN highlighted the story this morning and used negative language connected with it. I took this to mean that it was truly bad news for Blanco.
Fox just spun it as showing support for Blanco.
These releases do show a coordinated policy of blaming it all on FEMA and GWB.
Here are the AP releases:

This is apparently the original -note the last few paragraphs left off the main feed releases!:

Here is the NY Slimes view- surprisingly critical of Blanco (in spite of the Blame Bush mentality):

I cannot find a link to the raw data mentioned several times. It supposedly is on a Louisiana web site with access only to journalists. Maybe a fellow freeper could get access.
Here is the info on the Congressional Committee..apparently the have not created a web site.

The spin on this is gonna be wild!
Alas Babylon, thanks for the thread and will you put me on your ping list. Thanks.
FYI, I won a bet with a Democrat last year. The black vote increased 25%, from 9 to 12+% for President Bush.
Tom Keane making an appearance, eh? I wonder if he will apologize for heading up the 9-11 commission, you know the one, it's members were hand picked by the Clintons and run from Kerry's campiagn headquarters? I wonder if he will take the heat for allowing Bob Kerrey to attack Condi Rice during her testimony? Will he fall on his sword for letting that slimy, smarmy Gorelick on the panel? The presence of that awful woman rendered their findings completely moot and proved that some politicians have a sense of humor..
Great letter from the major- thanks anita.
You must have been working on this research all week you are really going for it today !!!
I don't know if I even want to read the snips from Disgrace the Nation today, what with Lurch being the solo.
Thanks AB.
MoveOn Protests Cuts in Tribune Co. Newsrooms
MoveOn.org has launched a petition drive to protest job reductions at the Los Angeles Times and three other Tribune Co. newspapers cutbacks that the liberal activist group says threaten the papers' ability to deliver "strong watchdog journalism."
Organizers of the campaign emphasized that it was being run by MoveOn.org Civic Action, a nonprofit focused on "education and advocacy on important national issues," and not by MoveOn.org's federal political committee, which supports liberals running for office.
This is not joke. Finally, the so-called journalists and their protectors - MoveOn.org coming ou of their closets. What next - Al Jazeera coming to their cause?
It is about time that ACLU, MoveOn, AFLCIO, Democrats & mediacrats publicly come out & announce that they are all one and the same.
Am real interested in these Emails released about Katrina. Anybody else hear anything?
Not far north of Houston..I see Dallas will have a high of 51, though.
Dont hold back will you LOL
FWIW, I think if the Coalition gives up Saddamn's security to whomever Clark and co. have in mind, Saddamn won't live long enough to try, convict, and execute.
That 9/11 panel was a joke, to say the least. They were delusional and created fantasy when reality and truth were needed. Further proof we can trust Democrats to mislead and hide their actions.
Hey Tx -- that's great! When do you get to come back?
Where is Hegal. McCain, Biden and NO Hagel?
It will be good if we get to exchange Lieberman with McCain, Lugar, Hagel or Snowe.
Maggief just shared this one with me:
