Are you offering a prize?
At least I have a chance in getting this one right.
I have noticed how these shows seem to ALWAYS put the dem on last...so that they can "poop" all over what the conservative said...and also not have to answer any questions that the conservative might have brought up...
If Iraq can no longer be the RATS story to motivate their base they just simply switch to something new like the Bush Admin take down of the environment, or the unfunded "No Child Left Behind" program, NO FMC Disaster, yada yada. Impeachment is one thing that will remain on top of the fold until they think they are ready to shoot their wad. Remember the Rockefeller memo on DNC strategy? DNC Strategy
WOW!
Snow birds! LOL!
I hear you...and I wasn't being critical of hunting per se...
It is the name of Bambi...my granddaughter has the dvd...
It is so disheartening, isn't it? The Administration's long-standing policy of making calm, well-reasoned arguments and responses is necessary, and should be continued in order to maintain firm control of the moral high-ground.
However, although it is necessary, it is obviously not sufficient. It needs to be supplemented with media-savvy "Special PR Forces" personnel who possess both a thorough knowledge of the issues AND the mental alacrity, wit and chutzpah to take the fight to the media.
I realise there are many on our side who repeatedly make the case that although the President and his team make statements every day, the media simply refuses to cover them, and (woe is us) there is nothing we can do to force them.
I disagree. It can be done. It is a very high-risk strategy, but it can be done. What is necessary is, to very publicly and at a carefully chosen event or moment, pick a deliberate fight with the media. Catch one of them who is factually in error, call them on it and publicly humiliate them. It's even better if it's a fact on which they have been corrected before, because then you can also ask them why they're lying about it.
Do this a few times and I guarantee you'll have no problem getting plenty of media coverage. It will get ugly, it will be a bloodbath, but the fear of the media everyone seems to have is greatly overestimated. It has long been obvious that most of them are, with a very few exceptions, shamefully ignorant and downright stupid, and the majority of the American people despise them. The members of the vast "great unwashed" heartland, after enduring decades of their smug condescension, are just itching for someone to come along and knock them on their asses.
"What is best in life?"
"To crush your enemies. To see them driven before you. To hear the lamentations of their editors/producers/publishers."
He is in MY BOOK...but, then again, I am one of the eeeevil Bushbots...lol
I've noticed this too. It is certainly on purpose but I would not be surprised if the conservatives fail to negotiate the time slots as a secondary reason. Conservatives seem happy to just be on-air talking about what we believe in without thinking of the political positioning that can be used.
Ditto. You just nailed it.
Yeah...the prize is...a ticket to Tookie's execution...LOL
Agreed. However, it will be harder for them to distance themselves from their over-the-top statements on Iraq and the WOT. I doubt there is 20% of America who does not understand Democrats have staked out the cut & run position.
LOL!! ME TOO!
ROFLLLL!!!
To put it in street terms, "Damn baby, when you takes the gloves off, they are ALLLlll the way off!!!!"
VERY well said. What the Democrats and their lap dogs in the Media are doing is getting peopled killed. There must be a holding to account for their criminal recklessness.
That is one of my favorite movies also. Another is "A fish called Wanda".
Rats. You call this a prize? No thanks.
Okay, but I'm gonna need a couple of good bouncers. Are you volunteering?
OH YES!
It is a family tradition... every Thanksgiving we eat and then watch MY COUSIN VINNY!.... LOL!
EVERY YEAR!
