Missile Attack On Passenger Jet?
Radio News | November 28, 2005

Posted on 11/28/2005 4:49:25 AM PST by texianyankee

I heard on the radio this morning, that a pilot of a passenger jet departing LAX claimed to have narrowly avoided being hit by a missile. It was reported that the jet was about 6,000 feet in altitude & over the ocean when the event occurred. The news report further stated that authorities believe it was possibly a flare or a "bottle rocket."

I googled but found nothing. Anyone else have some info on this? I dont recall whether it was CBS or NBC radio news.

"If you're a news editor faced with covering a jetliner shootdown or two or three, vs. covering terrorist activity to disrupt the final election in Iraq (which Bush is depending on), what would you cover?"

I'd probably opt for the sudden demise of Iranian nuclear programs and arrest of Iranian and Syrian diplomats.

Texianyankee, perhaps you didn't see or don't recall this same story I posted from KYW in my post here on this thread:

Post 505: Pilot Reports 'Missile' Fired at Jetliner Near LAX

With all the repeats, and cross-tellings of this story, it's beginning to sound like it's taking on a life of its own.

If the story is true, it would be a shame for it to attain the dubious status of an urban legend.

Thanks for the ping--I had not heard of this, and I see the news is a few days old. Implications are truly chilling.

With Drudge finally picking up on this...maybe Rush and Hannity will follow.

The missing radar recordings may be the most interesting facet. Employees being told NOT to talk and radio recordings being destroyed are others.

No, I didnt catch your earlier post. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, however.
My schedule has been erratic at best and I havent been able to make the needed time to review past pages & pings on this thread.
I'm really glad you were successful!

I'll make a better effort to be more current & up to date in my future replies.

To: MizSterious; All

Welcome.

If we could make the side bar we might be able to get to more posters. Otherwise, quite a few posters have been trying to keep this thread regularly bumped.

There is a temporary ping list set up if you want on.

I am afraid the bathroom note will cloud this issue.

There have been many of those, some unsolved...some attention seekers.

Lets hope for a clarrification from our "Gov'ment!"... though I have my doubts... seems shutting up and cover ups are the order of the day... keep emailing, keep calling... convince them tell us the truth is better than having a bunch of nuts in tin foil hats scare people.
