There is truth in that. I'd imagine Bush is extremely frustrated at the fact he can't get more favorable legislation out of a House and Senate where his side is the majority.

Perhaps he gets more credit for the spending because he doesn't object. He needn't veto every bill that crosses his desk if he'd veto a select fiew announcing his opposition to them and others base on fiscal principles.

I agree....and I think the bill that he might veto hasn't gotten there yet...it is the one with several amendments, like John McCain's about the torture rules...and possibly, the spending cuts...that the congress chose to not impose like Bush wanted them...

I know that there are several coming out of committee in the next few weeks that have amendments that Bush isn't happy about...I am hoping that he will veto one or two of them JUST as we break for Christmas recess...hehe
