Maybe that is where she met Chrissy Mathews, I believe he was a speech writer for Carter. I cannot imagine Chris Mathews in a job interview with Jimmah, by the time Jimmah asked one question Chrissy would have spit the answers to all his questions out (making them up as he spit his way through)and would be back home waiting by the phone for Jimmah to phone with his decision.
Oh, yeah, maica...surely you wouldn't expect them to discuss kickbacks and such involving a Congressman...if said congressman is a VIETNAM war hero...or a democrat???
Nah...not gonna happen....they would never hear the end of it by Dean, Reid and gang...
Shoot...Soros would probably take out full page ads excoriating Fox News for tarnishing the record of an honest to goodness, VIETNAM WAR HERO...like Murtha.
I think he would be a very good president. I am just looking at what I think the drawbacks are.
Thanks
DANG....allow me a platform here...
Doesn't Seattle Seahawks have a 2 minute DEFENSE??? C'mon Seahawks go!!
Harry Thomasson and Linda Bloodworth-Thomasson.
"Evening Shade," and "Designing Women." I will give them credit...two of the best comedies ever on television.
It has to do with the need of certain Freepers to cry for someone else to ride to their rescue since they are unwilling or unable to do the slightest thing to save themselves. Amazing how NOTHING anyone says penetrates the immovable conviction the collection of a dozen or So Complain Constantly Freepers have that there is some way to compel the Dinosaur Media to bow to your emotional wishes. The 1st Amendment says NOT. The demonstrated conduct of the Media over the last 24 months proves CONCLUSIIVELY not. I would expect after the 2 dozens fraudulent stores in the Dinosaur Media exposed by the bloggers the last two years that even the most hard headed "Conservative" would wake up to reality that there is NO wining with the Dinosaur Media. They ARE your blood enemy. You had a chance as long as they had to pretend to be "objective". They are no longer doing that. I find today I was wrong about Conservatives. There are still a number of you who cling to the delusion that the world works as you wish it does. That the President is some sort of all powerful Dictatorial authority who can merely will something to be done and it will be done. I didn't believe anyone was still so naive. Thank you for showing all of us there really are people who think it is still 1975.
Congratulations. You have to be the 1st Poster on the Sunday Morning thread to have posted multiple dozens of posts an yet STILL continue to refused to learn a single thing from being here. Your first post is absolutely NO different for your last. Well done. A complete denial of reality. Well done. Pity one day sooner or later, you will be forced to deal with the reality that the world does work based on your emotional whimsy.
As I said, I do not believe the polls and don't care about them even if they are right.
But we DO need better people articulating the President's message. Any little bit of prpogress helps, and this is one thing that we need.
Now, are you going to insult me? Because if you are going to call me a hand-wringer, you are just looking for trouble.
Whew....thank goodness I had read that article and posted on that thread...or I would be in trouble, huh Johnnie!!!
BTW...you put up a thread about two cheerleaders in a bathroom stall....and you will have a couple of hundred posts in 10 minutes...so you can' really go by that, or CAN YOU???? LOL
Harry Thomason and wife, PR and press manipulators extraordinaire.
Agreed.
Gary Sinise and Ron Silver are both big proponents of Bush's war on terror...and I know that Sinise has visited the troops...and heads some kind of charity for military families...
The Angelina Jolie thing...is when Laura should nudge her husband and tell him that what Angelina has been doing for years now...plays really well with Bush's own doctrine of freedom for all...
Jolie...whether you believe she is "for real" or not, has walked the talk.
I remember a few years ago...President Bush wanted to get a group of successful business women from the US to go to Afghanistan to talk to the women their...to help them plan busninesses of their own...
He made the mistake of asking Oprah Winfrey to head the group and she said she didn't have the time...
NOW would be a good time to try again...but get Jolie and some of her friends with Karen Hughes and maybe one of the Cheney daughters to go to Afghanistan...and maybe Iraq...and get their message out...not only to the Iraqis and Afghanis...but to AMERICANS!!!
My husband complained that he gained weight this weekend. I said "You are surprised?" LOL!
I remember when Oprah chickened out on that trip. So much for her concern for women. Bah!
CNN OPERATOR FIRED AFTER SUGGESTING 'X' OVER CHENEY WAS 'FREE SPEECH'
A CNN switchboard operator was fired over the holiday -- after the operator claimed the 'X' placed over Vice President's Dick Cheney's face was "free speech!"
"We did it just to make a point. Tell them to stop lying, Bush and Cheney," the CNN operator said to a caller. "Bring our soldiers home." "Was it not freedom of speech? Yes or No?" the CNN operator explained.
"If you don't like it, don't watch."
Laurie Goldberg, Senior Vice President for Public Relations with CNN, said in a release:
"A Turner switchboard operator was fired today after we were alerted to a conversation the operator had with a caller in which the operator lost his temper and expressed his personal views -- behavior that was totally inappropriate. His comments did not reflect the views of CNN. We are reaching out to the caller and expressing our deep regret to her and apologizing that she did not get the courtesy entitled to her. "
