It's already being done. Tons of photos that our troops have taken and uploaded to the web.

Great idea- if we get a good response from this we can ask for someone in the know to to brief the photos before we post them. I would think that is do-able.

I've tested both of these 100% free services.
In a nut shell just "right click" on any pic
(as long as it is not copyrighted or adult content)
you see on the internet and save it to your hard drive,
then use either service and upload it to either free image server.
You'll see the linking url,

which you are allowed to hotlink,

and YOU can post it on FR!

One of the problems is that each troop is alloted a certain amount of kb per day to transmit. Unless they are at an Internet cafe, they won't want to use their allotment sending pics.

I didn't mean to imply that this wasn't a good idea. Just that there are indeed photos of the good stuff in Iraq already out there.

That is why I hope to find some people to help us locate the guys and gals who can easily get the photos to us-because I know most of them can not. If everyone can check their sources and contacts we should be able to find 2 or 3 contacts over there- perhaps more. I know some contractors who may be able to help- when they go back. But we can get something going even with willing person over there.
