Where were his parents in all this -- esp. if he'd exhibited (ahem) "poor choices" in the past, as with that other girl?

The only thing I read about his father is that he's an airline pilot.

I bet he told the boy that you and he were close, and that you told him EVERYTHING (even if it wasn't entirely true). Then he told the boy that if he ever laid a hand on you again, he would personally kick the tar out of him, and any other boy that had distrustful intentions.

I was a 16-year old boy once, and I remember what was on my mind every time I took a girl out. If I knew her Dad or her brothers would know everything I did and said, I would drop her like a hot potato and find another girl.

OK We all have sin to confess. But let me get this straight. Strong godly Christians, loving, godly parents and church family, 2 young teens involved in sinful lifestyle, children sitting composed at parents' funeral where no mention of sexual sin that led to the parents' murder.
