At least one Arab television media outlet reported that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the head of the al-Qaida in Iraq, was killed in Iraq on Sunday afternoon when eight terrorists blew themselves up in the in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
The unconfirmed report claimed that the explosions occurred after coalition forces surrounded the house in which al-Zarqawi was hiding.
WASHINGTON, Nov 20 (Reuters) - U.S. authorities are looking into whether al Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in a gunfight in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, a U.S. official said on Sunday, but a White House spokesman said that was "highly unlikely."

al-Zarqawi dead? Impossible, Hillary hasn`t fainted.
They won't report it, this is the kind of thing that would try to keep under raps for a big announcement/prime time speech to the nation on Monday or Tuesday.
Zarqawi has more then one wife.
Still too early to know any facts. If he's dead- it's hard to imagine he blew himself up PURPOSELY. These jihadist leaders are notorious for sending their minions to "Will commit suicide for virgins" assignments.
I've been out of the loop all day. I hope we hear he is dead SOON..this guy has taken way too many of our soldiers and marines.
Hey! That's equivalent with EnviroTerrorists and their "Dances With Wolves!"
I love it!!! (nice graphic, too)
My first, second and third thoughts after Zarqawi bombed Jordanians was that he had made an unbelievably stupid mistake, and that Jordanians might very well make him pay for it before anyone else did.
Jordanians hold an Arabic banner that reads 'Death for Zarqawi' (the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab Zarqawi) during an anti-terrorism rally in downtown Amman November 18, 2005. (Reuters)
But, IIRC, the surviving bomber said he was travelling with just one.
Right now, I'm listening to their little treasures upstatirs with grandma, two little boys, 10 months and 3 years. We're having a blast raisign them while mom is in Iraq and dad is in Kuwait on his 2nd tour, iraq last year.
Godspeed
I'll redouble my efforts. Heh heh heh...
That sign looks like two smiley faces.
I'll be smiling when Z is out of circulation.
OK... pay attention because I'm only going to do this once..."
The ACLU will be filing a lawsuit on his behalf claiming that our soldiers didn't have a search warrant.
TICK TICK TICK....I CAN'T WAIT TO FIND OUT
IT WILL TRULY BE A GLORIOUS DAY.
LOL!!!!
I'm trying not to soil myself!
He wouldn't be welcome in Syria after making a death threat against the King of Jordan. Syria knows that would mean war with most of the middle east if it was discovered, and believe me, it WOULD be discovered. He couldn't go to Iran because of his war against the Shiia, even if they have common cause with the mad mullahs, it would be a death sentence to attempt to hide in Iran.
Actually (if this thread turns out to be true), history may show a direct like between
The bomb that did't
The lady who talked
The death of the Z-man
