The US Minerals Management Service said the number of production platforms still without crews in the Gulf of Mexico dipped by 3 to 146 on Nov. 17. Shut-in gulf crude production slipped to 717,807 b/d, while shut-in natural gas production declined to 3.6 bcfd. The cumulative production lost from federal leases in the gulf since Aug. 26 increased to 87.8 million bbl of crude and 453.1 bcf of natural gas. That amounts to 16% of the crude and 12.4% of the natural gas produced annually from those waters.

Refinery shutdowns along the Gulf Coast totaled 804,000 b/d of capacity as of Nov. 16, said the US Department of Energy in its latest assessment of hurricane damage.

As a Mets fan, I still like him.

One, he was a good pitcher for the Mets.

Two, he can stink up the place for the Yankees in his old age.

$1.99 here near Philadelphia.

Yet the lemming reporters on TV drone on and on and on and on about "high gasoline" prices.

Fox News is no better. They simply repeat what the lefty lib reporters on CNN say.

And right up Rt. 17 in Ramsey, NJ $2.13 to $2.11.
In Orange County, NY the lowest I saw was $2.39.

Tom's River has always had low prices. If I can, I wait to fill up there on my way to or from the shore in the summer. (I'm 45 miles west.) One thing I love is the law here in NJ that says we can't pump our own gas.

Come to NY State where the gas costs 50 cents a gallon and the tax on a gallon is $10. Not really a joke--just the way it feels.

When gas was $.50 and went up to $1, everybody screamed. When gas fell back to $.75 everybody cheered.

When gas was $1.75 and went up to $3.25, every body screamed. When gas fell back to $2.25, everybody cheered.

I would need to pay a $4.00 toll and a $0.35 toll to get to $2.179 gas, 75 miles round trip.

My car gets 25 mpg. so the trip costs me $6.54 in gas.

That would be $11 total for trip.

16 gallon tank at $2.499 = $40.00

16 gallon tank at $2.179 = $34.86

I would spend $11 to save $5.14 in gas.

I'm losing $6.

Everything I wrote above is boring.

What have I started?
NOT WORTH THE TIME OR MONEY.

I'm on the oil companies side here!

As I am. It is very unpatriotic, anti-American and anti-free market to complain about the major oil companies. Congress shoud be ashamed, but being the opportunist pigs they are, they have none.

China just ordered a large number of Boeing aircraft. Soon, Congress will hold heaings threatening Boeing because they are the dominant aircraft manufacturer in the USA.

Congress is scum.

I am personally trying to conserve gas.

I limit trips.

Drive others (sort of a carpoll).

I fill up half or 3/4 of a tank.

I drive 60 mph instead of 75 mph.

My mpg went from 22 mpg to 25 mpg.

I do my part as long as these refineries are down.

Hopefully the government extends the suspension of these 40 different blends. This has added 10% of the gasoline we use to the open market more readily.
