Evidently you're too important to search.

Take it up with this guy:

Le ZOTTE: My very IMPORTANT opinion on tonight's debate. VERY IMPORTANT BREAKING NEWS VANITY! MAYO

NO ONE ELSE THOUGHT OF THIS SO IT DESERVES A THREAD OF ITS OWN!

I think each and every poster on FR should post a new thread stating his opinion on the debate. This way, instead of having only a few threads with hundreds of posts each (ie, discussion threads), we will have hundreds of threads, each with two comments. One the important opinion, and two, the complaint about vanity posts.

I'll take that as a "no".

Should a guy have to search through a 6,000+ post thread to find the final vote tally of this extremely important breaking news?

This is the new media, sometimes events like this need a 2nd or even 3rd thread to clarify important points of the overall discussion.

He should have followed up the title with "House Republicans grow a spine, first time for this session."

Capitol idea, make it universal.

With all due respect Howlin, I avoid threads that are over 500. I have found they are overly inhabited by off topic posts, and are used as chat rooms in some cases. There is usually very little to add to what has been said over and over anyway.

Grumpy?

I went out to dinner and wanted to check the vote on FR when I got home.

I am glad the actual vote got its own thread.

Howlin, this was not a vanity opinion on a debate. That is what Jim' post seemed to address. This was a news recap and I was glad to have found it.

Add me to the list of people that were happy to quickly find the news without having to spend 5 hours wading through chit-chat.
