The House is voting on the "Immediate Troop Withdrawal From Iraq Resolution - 571:
Demonrats:
Yea = 3
present = 6
Nay = 157
Republicans:
Yea = ZERO
Nay = 215
and no one voting present.
This is the final count at 8:33p.m.
It's my understanding that Representatives can change their vote anytime during the voting period, in this case a fifteen-minute period...
I went to bed early. You mean Murtha didn't even vote "Aye" on the motion he instigated? What a waste of a Congressional seat!
Maybe the good to come out of this is to prove to Dims that words do indeed have consequences (and blowing hot air all the time can blow up in your face), and to prove to pubbies that they don't have to play defense all the time to the stunts the Dims pull. It's about damn time they start to act like a majority party!
LOLOL...so nice to remind us about that 'other' war hero!!!!!! LOSER
CORRECTION: "The roaches retreat..."
BTW: Welcome to FREEREPUBLIC!
LOLOL......c'mon babe, say you're sorry!!!! LOL.....this time there were those of who were so grateful to find this thread!
Clearly the dems are lying thru their teeth, as usual.
How they stand up there and spew all out bull is beyond me. But then they have cover from the MSM.
LOL.....oh, those tangents drive me crazy. Freepmail would be so much better for those who have ADD!
Just kidding, I love you all, but have mercy!!!!
You HAVE to let us know how your FIL takes the news. (Breaking out popcorn) In the interests of scientific research (okay, schadenfreude), I'll be toddling over to the Dirty Underpants site to see how they're handling this. LOLOLOL!
Great idea! You should forward that thought to your Congressman or Senator and see if they have the spine to put it to a vote also! I'd love to see how the Dem's vote on that one.
Thanks for posting the results. It was hysterical to watch all the pontificating last night about procedures etc. on C-Span.
I heard the DIMS over and over say that this was "just a stunt by the Republicans". I was waiting for any of the commentators to ask one of them to comment on the stunt (ruse) the DIMS pulled in the Senate a few weeks back. Why do the commentators overlook such obvious comebacks? It is like they are afraid to make the DIMS squirm.
Can they do this in the Senate also?
Priceless story about you father inlaw!
(Separate threads that have the readers digest version of events, I'm all for them!!)
If someone went back and removed all of the off topic comments, bickering, clique insider jokes and bitching the 8,000 comment threads would become 5,000 thread posts.
When mining for facts, I'm going to the mine with the most concentrated ore. I don't have the time to shovel 16 tons for a few gems.
Sorry howlin..

Funny that Murther voted against the pull out! I guess he doesn't believe what he himself says.
Add me to the list of people that were happy to quickly find the news without having to spend 5 hours wading through chit-chat.
The "hot" live threads would probably shrink to 10-20% of their number of posts. They are very much like a chatroom, and as far as I'm concerned, that is a plenty valid purpose.
The downside of the free running, stream of consciousness exchanges in live threads is lousy signal to noise. Lots of "thread variety" at FR!
I appreciated seeing this thread, as I was looking for the names of the dissenters, and didn't want to wade through the live thread. I think the defense of the live thread as "official meeting place" is funny.
CSPAN is replaying Jean Schmidt's comments over and over. Now that is funny. The House managed to get the comments removed from the official record, but they are getting played in the media.
Not voting: Bobby Jinadal and Ron Paul are among that 22.

Thanks for posting this and not ya-ya'n with Howling... I went to bed too early before the final vote was tallied (some of us work awful early). I tried to keep up with the ongoing 7000 post thread, but streaming C-span with a dialup connection is taxing enough, much less trying to follow 50 posts per 3 minutes with people occasionally posting graphics to reload.
Mission accomplished!
