Bravo to her! She has shown the world what dems are capable of doing when in or out of power. Cut off debate...scream and shoot down the opposition. All hail VI Lenin! **clicking heels**

Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Ohio) read an e-mail from a Colonel saying "Cowards Cut and Run. Marines Never Do." The Democrats are now demanding she be reprimanded.

Hardball -- Andrea Mitchell saying the dems are winning because the pulse of the country is on their side to get out of IRAQ and the GOP is upset and 'trying' to regain the high ground by causing a rukus against a true war hero... (BARF)

I don't know why so many FReepers are gleeful about this. It's game-playing, the Republicans playing into the Democrats game. It makes a circus of Congress and trivializes the service of our troops. "Oh, goody!" you say, "now our troops are a political football." Get out the popcorn, watch the melee. How many of you happy spectators know what it's like to do what our troops are doing and then to receive news reports of ridiculous political grandstanding. I don't see anything to celebrate. There is no foreseeable benefit from this spectacle except to further lower morale. You are being too clever by half. The anti-war left is going to be furious with their own members when they are recorded as voting NO on the resolution. That means we hurt their fundraising, and show them to be the hypocrites that they are. An additional positive byproduct is that our troop morale will be bolstered, not harmed.

But to all the liberals it has always been that way! They just cant take it when they get called on and beaten at their own game. I want to see some punches thrown! If they are passionate about their political position they should be willing to fight and die for it. They all need to put their money where their mouths are. We will see who has the legs to go the distance.

The House just became like a session of Parliment with catcalls from the galleries and speakers being shouted down.
Senate President is going to have a blister from banging the gavel constantly and shouting "THE HOUSE WILL COME TO ORDER!" over and over again.

It gets Murtha off the front pages by forcing the Demcrats to vote against his position. Would have been better to do it with his position, than with a more extreme position.
The text of this resolution is "immediate pullout."

They turned the sound off! Dems must have needed a toilet break. Considering how full of it the Dems are, it's going to be a long break.
To: eleni121
Schmidt won her seat over Iraq War vet Paul Hackett in June 2005. The democrats and the media lauded her victory as a big win for Hackett since he came in second!
