At 9:30pm AZ time it appears to be 6 Dimocrats- "present"
Oh BTW, and no republicans.
To: A CA Guy
Absolutely.. couldn't have happened to nicer people. They got so humiliated on this... I love it.
To: TomGuy
Great graphic!
Who are the 16 R NV's?
To: flaglady47
I agree with your comment.
It is not unusual to see votes taken down, even elected officials make mistakes occasionally, no matter how many years they may have been using the voting apparatus.

I was wondering where Rush was the last few days. Guess he was off buying popcorn for tonight.....
To: Shermy
It wasn't Muthers resolution, it was Duncan Hunters who called the dems bluff.

Now no republican yeas! All this money spent in that house and they cant count right? The whip probably came and had a chat with them. Betcha Ron Paul was one of the yeas.
To: rightinthemiddle
Both. It's sort of like sticking your hand in something icky, but you're doubly happy when you pull it out and wash up.

Nope, he was the go-to-guy to provide the Rats with cover when they POTUS and VPOTUS started making points against them. By the way, Murtha is owned by the Heinz-Kerrys. He was very tight with Jack Heinz before he died and is still tight with Mama T. Why does that not surprise me?

Hmmm, the Republicans just switched the Yes votes to no. And I believe C-span said Murtha changed his nay vote to an aye.
To: All
Resolution fails. Final tally:
Yea: 3
Nay: 403
Present: 6
All nays and present votes came from democRATS.
DEMOCRATS LOSE. I hope the republicans use their votes against them.
And Murtha is senile.

But early exit polls showed that Kerry won this.

Anderson probably has something important to say about New Orleans anyway.
While we're waiting, does anybody know who sang a song named "24/7" or something like that?
Yeah, I'm just killing time, why do you ask?

Agreed--someone with access to LexisNexis. The 'Rats have painted themselves into a corner. If the 'Icans keep on the offensive, the 'Rats can't win.
To: Fresh Wind
I think some arms got twisted out of their socketsActually it is most likely a procedural move by the Republicans.
I believe that only a member of the losing side can make a motion to table the question to reconsider. So often a member will vote against his/her true feelings to assure the motion is made, because they cannot trust the other side to do it.
