Oh I'm not so sure about this. Already the Blogosphere's chugging about him. Now supposing all those defense companies he's affiliated with in some way got involved in oil for food?
This is likely the only thing he can do because Murtha...heck last week I never heard of the guy.
Tonight I find out he's been hanging around the House for over twenty years. He's been buried neck deep with the Clinton admin, who probably threw him and his every contract they could find. Maybe even made up some.
This admin, either they found someone cheaper, Occam's razor, or they found out about other shady dealings.
Something smells here.
So why is he going back? It's his decision, right?

I can't figure out what Murtha is doing, other than making a fool out of himself.
Here in SW Pa.(his district)there are other vets I've talked with today that are puzzled by him.We know he's a liberal, but we never thought he would abandon our troops.
Most of us including me, are resigned to the fact that we can't beat him at the polls, but we at least knew he wouldn't let us down like the other libs when it came to the military.
Like I said, I can't keep up with all this,except to say my fellow local vets support W and our mission in Iraq.
He's got no original thoughts...all he does is read letters!
I muted Murtha. I talked to a friend of mine tonite who is a lib but pro military, his son is Active Air Force. He is furious about Murtha and these letters are just sickening.

Oh yeah, but what will the vote be.
If the Democrats vote no, they will piss off their base.
If they vote yes, they will be cut and run politicians.
IMO this is a lose lose.
Now they are talking about a plan.
The plan has always been to remove Saddam, get rid of weapons and then leave when Iraq could take care of itself militarily against the insurgents with an army of it's own people. Did all Democrats miss that plan that has been stated since day one? Are they that complicit with the terrorists or what?

This whole thing with the spineless Rino's in the Senate, and Murtha's resolution in the House is a total friggin disaster. Our enemies have taken great heart and gotten greatly emboldened.
Once again our military is being knifed in the back, to lose in DC what they never lost in the field.
Murtha reads another letter NOT from a soldier, but a mother.
Murtha is WRONG that we had a "plan" at the start of WWII.
There was a plan. Murtha has a plan for surrender.

Murtha didn't just compare Iraq plan to the Normandy plan did he?
