As far as I'm concerned, Lantos should have stayed in Budapest and trashed his own country rather than wizz on the land my ancestors have fought for (for almost 250 years)!

The dems are treating this man as if he was the second coming. Frankly I never heard the name Murtha until yesterday and wondered why one congressman, whose opinion I did not respect, warranted as much coverage as he got for denouncing the war. After listening to him speak, I still question what the fuss is about. He's been in congress for over 20 years and this is the first we're hearing from him?
To: JABBERBONK
he is senile!!All joking aside, I have wondered if this might be the case.

So according to Murtha, "terrorism started" either in March 2003 (with the "invasion of Iraq") or in May 2004 (when the Abu Ghraib miniscandal came to light). One wonders where he was in, say, September 2001. One wonders, too, how a political party can keep a straight face while putting him forward as a spokesman on national security. As my 7-year-old niece would say: "What a bozo."

"Murtha was involved with ABSCAM ???"
Yep. It's about the only notable thing he has ever done in Congress.
To: nutmeg
ROFL! Murtha spent more time speaking on the floor tonight than he has in the past 20 years.

Between Weldon & Murtha, I guess this fits for a Pa. ping.

Mort Kondrake even admitted on Brit's show that the dems would rather lose the war...and beat Bush...than the other way around.

Semper Fidelis? I think not. How about a new Latin motto for this old marine ..non compos mentis - not of sound mind.

The Democrats are Communists, pure and simple.
They, along with Al Qaeda, the Chinese, Russians and North Koreans are AMERICA'S true enemies, hello, time to grow brain....duh............which way did he go......
To: nutmeg
The Democrats yielded all of their time to him to control. They're making it Murtha against all of the Republicans, David against Goliath.

This guy Murtha is like a arm chair quarterback yelling at the T.V. because 40 years ago he was a decent high school QB.
His war was 35 years ago, the military, the world, politics, everything has changed.
What is really sad, he is the same type of congressman who sold our troops out in Nam when he was there fighting

We seem to have spent far too much time in this debate talking about Murtha and not enough time defending our position. I wish we had some leadership capable of seeing sideswipes such as this for what they are and were more able to keep us on balance, on target, and on the offensive.
