GOP Pulls Fast One... Tells Dems: Pull Troops Now? Okay, then let's vote!!!!! Tonight. 7 p.m. in House... Ultimate showdown...
Exactly, using the troops (whom he wants to redeploy... even though he wants them out because they have no equipment and can't win... gives him away there). This is about pork and I have never seen such.
Negotiate? Um... like over 12 resolutions and waiting while the UN spends terrorist money and make deals with the enemy while giving them weapons? The Clinton negotiation policy obviously didn't work.
I'm tired of that guy. All I hear is Mutha, Murtha, Murtha.
THE RATS CAN NEVER SIT AND STFU....
"He's been in congress for over 20 years and this is the first we're hearing from him?"
Not really. He was one of the five Democrats nabbed in ABSCAM.
The other high point of his brilliant Congressional career.
Actually Murtha's speech was very impressive. Thank goodness that no one is watching. I disagree with his overall conclusion, but Murtha raised some damn good points about lack of supplies, resources stretched thin, etc. The jury is still out on Rumsfeld (though I'm not about to trash him and he could end up being proven right, there are legitimate questions about his strategy.) Murtha may well have popped off to preemptively get some cover before a scandal breaks out. Or maybe his concerns are 100% legitimate. I don't know, and still support the President, but he can't be dismissed simply as an ineffective lightweight (unlike many of the nasty catcalling yahoo's over on the Dem side of the aisle.)
Then you were out of it. Jack Murtha was a MAJOR proponent of Gulf War I -- more so than anyone on the Democrat side except for Stephen Solarz. Without the support of him and other Democrats, we could not have gone to war -- we didn't have the House back then, remember.
He's wrong now, but he has been staunch many, any times in the past. That's why his voice means more than the CBC and all of the 'Rat leadership put together.
Murtha can yield the remainder of his time, the Republicans get to go with one person for x minutes/seconds, then Murtha goes again or yields to another Democrat or reserves, when Republicans go again.

...and as Rush always reminds us: We were not in Iraq on 9-11.
Just imagine belonging to a party that hopes for the death of our military men and women.
Nope, I left after listening to Weldon for a few minutes. I thought I was in Oz. I had to look over my shoulder to make sure it was Weldon speaking. When I saw it was, I put on the cartoon, Kim Possible.
Dam Right!
The reason the mute button was invented was so that we didn't have to listen to RATS on TV. :)
OK, I'm back. So has anything happened, has Barney Frank finally come out of the closet?
With all those democrats in one place, what a great time for an exorcism.
Murtha was involved with ABSCAM ???
I believe I read earlier he was an unindicted co-conspirator.
THe DEMOCRATS are keeping their own time, and whenever someone hits their time, the dems are all chanting "over" "over" as soon as they think they are over.
THe official time is in the chair, and they are being little babies.
I tell you what. We need someone who has fire and brimstone coming out their mouth. Bill Young just ain't doing it. BTW, CNN is showing a story about the CA fires.
I thought he did............duh.
"All joking aside, I have wondered if this might be the case."
I was thinking he reminded me of poor old Adm. Stockdale during the '92 VP debates...a guy well past his sell-by date.
Are the French writing the Dems' speeches?
