GOP Pulls Fast One... Tells Dems: Pull Troops Now? Okay, then let's vote!!!!! Tonight. 7 p.m. in House... Ultimate showdown...
Not sure now how they worded it. Both ways have been mentioned and I'm too busy watching and writing.
Now, there's a Democrat backpeddling.
No question, the Democrats hate having to be on the record that they will have to defend next year, and every time they speak between now and then.
IF DEMS DON'T SHOW UP FOR IRAQ -- will Speaker Hastert order Sgt. at Arms to round them up? |

Date: 11-18-05 Tonight at approximately 7pm Eastern, an historic vote will take place in the House of Representatives. The GOP is forcing the Democrats to get their votes on record as to whether troops should be immediately withdrawn from Iraq. This afternoon, I made calls to the offices of Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert, Majority Whip Roy Blunt, and Rules Chairman David Dreier. The discussion was regarding a quorum. Because the Republicans currently hold 231 seats in the House, they will have a quorum to do business. They need 218 to be present. If a quorum... |
Sadly, I am long past being suprised by the seditious behavior of many of my fellow citizens, and so-called leaders.
I prefer your logic, and you hope are right.
Thanks!
I was thinking along those lines myself. Let's not uncork the champagne just yet.
Gotta be some Rats really pissed @ Murtha over this. Somebody in the house GOP leadership was really thinking on this one.
And not one minute before. Otherwise their kids will be going back. These soldiers aren't stupid. They know the score. Thank God they do! Our country wouldn't exist today if the patriots who poured the tea in Boston Harbor wanted to cut and run when things got tough. A backbone is a damn good thing to have.
WTH are they whining about how poorly Jack Murtha is being treated? So a "resolution" is now not a "resolution"?

If I hear the RAT LEFTY line one more time I am going to throw the radio across the room!
How much do you want to bet they're leaning on Bass and his herd of turncoat RINO "moderates" to vote that way as well?
Someone needs to photoshop a beard and long straggly black hair on her and it would be a perfect match.
Call Hayworth? Phone busy and he won't have a record of my comments.
Oh, they just pulled the old "have you no shame" line from the McCarthy hearings. Oh, for the glory of days gone by. Loving this!!
ROTFLMAO
I have NEVER EVER heard any person in the Bush Administration...call anyone unpatriotic...and I DARE any of these dems to produce an audio tape or interview that says that.
Don't mess with the bull, you'll get the horns, DEMS.
Ha, think of the mulitple and complex ramifications of bringing the troops home. There is NO WAY it is going to happen.
Geoff Davis (R-Kentucky) laying it on the line. "Words in this chamber are just words, but they have a different effect on the other side of the ocean....Words in this chamber have been used to recruit suicide bombers." (Did I quote that right??? Holy cow, I think that's what he said!)
