What I've seen on this thread, that is called bashing, is criticism that the lies by the leftists have been allowed to remain unchallenged for so long.
I don't think I've seen any actual bashing of the president or the war.
What I don't understand is why conservatives think it's okay to lie down and take lies. I've never seen anything like it in my life.
When those few of us on FR mention that we are upset that the lies are not defending, WE get attacked. Sheesh.
I don't get this place sometimes.

It sure lifted my spirits to hear GWB fight back. I hope my old man was listening. I'm sure he was, and I'm sure that now that he's in Heaven, he doesn't have to contend with liberals any more. Let not your heart be troubled!

Thanks so much for the summary. Sounds like while going on defense, the Pres just might be going on offense too. Good for him, FINALLY!

When aren't they offended? Oh that's right, when it comes out of the mouth of a liberal.

I agree. He gives far too much credit to supposedly moderate Muslims. I question how moderate and peace loving thes Muslims moderates really are.
I mean why do moderate Muslims stand idly by while their neighbor Muslims encourage their own teenage sons and daughter to strap on dynamite belts and detonate themselves and kill scores of innonent men, women and children. Where is the friggin' screaming outrage at this type of barbarity! They should be screaming bloody murder.
Shouldn't that make us question how moderate and peace-loving these supposedly moderate Muslims really are?
But I must say I am glad to see him addressing all the lies these POS DemocRATS have been issuing these past few weeks.

I think one of the reasons for the slow reaction is that conservatives, like the Founding Fathers, believe that there are self-evident truths. We've had a tendency to believe that eventually the truth will speak for itself loudly enough for the libs to "get it." We are finally waking up to the fact they they have shut their eyes and ears to truth and that they have repeated their own lies so often that those lies are their only truth and the utopian fantasyland is all they can see.Absolutely right on, and you've stated the case more clearly than I've managed to.
I've always thought that the President's inherent decency and adherence to the facts kept him from perceiving that there's a large sement of the population that only listens occasionally to political discussions, and therefore hears only what's regularly repeated. That's why it's critical to refute the Democrat lies daily.

Thanks, Wolfstar.
Hildy, not only are the a number of great speeches, there are 2 campaigns where the President was received with near rock star adulation. You don't get that on content alone...it was his delivery, his passion, his clarity of purpose. History, if not you, will show that the President stepped up countless times and delivered.

Most of the "conservative criticism" around here lately has been nothing more than bashing with Immigration, spending, nea, judges of whatever club that is handy. There is no difference between those attempts to bring down the President and what we are seeing from the Left. We are at war and helping the enemy only hurts us in the end. He is the leader for the next 3 years and needs our support.
