What do you think of this? I just think that people have forgotten the REAL meaning of CHRISTmas...the tree thing is insane.

Well, inversion does have occult symbolism. So, it's not entirely batty to ponder such implications. An "Xmas" tree probably should be as opposite as possible from a Christmas tree, if the purpose is to be in opposition.
Outside of that, it has to just look absolutely ridiculous.

Gonna need to hide empty space this year.

I guess a sense of humor doesn't come standard for some when it comes to the holidays.

No thanks, I'll pass on it and purchase our traditional real tree right side up!

"It's a pagan thing. If they thought about it, they wouldn't turn it upside down." I fail to see how an upside-down tree is any more pagan than a rightside-up tree.

Hilarious. I guess this'll turn Christmas upside down, for sure. I think I'll stick to my normal tree.

The artificial trees are hung from the wall or ceiling, or come with a weighted base to provide extra stability to prevent tipping and leaning. Ummmm, wouldn't gravity take care of that?
Anyway, the whole thing is goofy, and will be a passing fad. But I could see the advantage to a right side up tree being hung from the ceiling (and touching the floor, so it looks a proper tree) -- kitties can climb it without knocking it over. Once had a few weeks old kitten take down a tree in the middle of the night. Wouldn't have thought she was heavy enough, but apparently once she got to the top, and got some leverage, her 8 oz. or so was enough to do the trick. She never did that again. Not sure she EVER climbed ANY tree again, even though she was an indoor-outdoor kitty.

This is GREAT! This trend will finally give me a place to put all my Pet Rocks, which are certain to be big next year.
/s/
It's a novelty. And it will go away, like all such stupid and pointless things.
