This is just all common sense.
Has NOTHING to do with me.

Think about it, do you think the union and government employees felt good about being assessed for these hundreds of millions?

Do you think the unions and government employees can keep up the spending at that level and survive their own membership spending THEIR OWN MONEY? They just don't do that well.

They CAN NOT sustain that expense and will collapse guaranteed.

All we have to do is place these things against their interests on the ballots which is rather cheap.
Then watch them waste all their monies on defense.

This is terrific stuff and the people will get sick of their BS ads.

I'm telling you that you can take this to the bank, in the 2006 and 2008 election cycle, we pepper these initiatives on the ballot and you will see some results and the weakening of the Democrat Party and unions in California.

This is truly a great day, we have now a way for the Democrats and Unions to bankrupt their own influence and bank accounts.
Let's take advantage of this and bury them along with all the other relics of socialism and communism.

My position on Rinos has been you attempt their defeat in primaries. Hopefully they are removed, but you don't act like a baby and vote for a third party, because all you do in the real elections is get idiot Democrats in power that way.

"social conservatism" is against things like abortion and gay marriage - "social liberalism" is not. SC puts a high value on traditional ways, SL does not.

Most everyone has an SC streak in them because people generally seek out what is normal to them. They are really SC on the things they value. That's when you see the SC of what we call Liberals today come out - with the "free speech zones" and no smoking laws.

Cheer up. You're getting way too negative. Elections have a lot to do with the current state of the economy. Right now we've had rising energy prices and rising interest rates over the last several months. At this time next year that will all have reversed: gasoline prices will be lower and the Fed will finish raising interest rates in a few months so mortgage rates will be lower. People don't like the recent economic trends, but those trends are all set up to reverse next year.

Iran is the one big wild card, however. If they make sudden progress in their nuclear weapons program then events may heat up rapidly over there and all economic bets are off. Let's hope that happens in the Spring or after the election or not at all.

Fight the good fight in the primaries, doing so with respect and grace, like Ronald Reagan. Then rally around the (R) candidates in the general election. It's the only way to make progress in the long run.
