Now they are getting nervous? Where have they been for the last two weeks?
Freaking unbelieveable. I don't think Chirac has the backbone to do anything except sit and watch and hope it all goes away. Talk about the definition of a surrender monkey -- Chirac fits that completely.

I think you're absolutely right and he will be. And I bet the Muslims get their own "territories," as well. Of course, we've all seen how well that works.

My local news covered a little of this mess last night. They trotted out one of the perps with the screen showing: "Muhammed. Victim of racism." I kid you not.
The nutbag media operates in an alternate universe.

Not a mention of the word muslim in the whole article. I actually heard the enemedia use the word 'immigrant' last night. I suspect even they know the 'M' word will be unavoidable soon.

The French people must really dread sunset by now.

Glenn Beck just had an idea: make the French pay invasion insurance to us.

And to think that my Grandfather was wounded in the Trenches in 1918, defending these cheese-eating surrender monkeys! And my Dad had two Destroyers torpedoed out from under him by U-Boats in the Med, trying to liberate these cheese-eating surrender monkeys!
Why should we defend someone who isn't willing to defend themselves?
Now those "sophisticated Euroweenies" can understand why anyone with self-respect emmigrated to the New World years ago.

France's Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy gestures as he addresses the media during the foreign ministers council in Brussels, Monday, Nov. 7, 2005. Douste-Blazy said Monday his country was
'not a dangerous country,' or racist, despite 11 days of rioting. Douste-Blazy said he told his EU counterparts at talks that
France had the situation under control. (AP Photo/Yves logghe)

Great idea! LOL! They can just redirect some of their UN contributions to US.

That would be the ultimate in capitulation. Every day the "riots" continue, Sarko's capital rises and Chirac/de Villepin's drops.
Of the many things not discussed by the media is the cost to France of lost tourism revenue. France is the #1 tourist draw in the world with tourism representing 7% (est) of its GDP. By most estimates, France is losing $100-$200 million a day due to Chirac's failure to get this mess under control. And unlike hurricanes, these rioters won't just blow out to sea when (and if) these riots end.

It took chirac a week and a half to convene his "security council" while at least 10's of millions of euros(probably more like 100's of millions, maybe billions) of property went up in smoke.
Sheesh the howling winds of Katrina hadn't died down before the American MSM were bemoaning the "lack of response".
On France burning, crickets from the MSM.

The genius of Bush/Rumsfeld in keeping the War on Terror a "hot war" is evident, in light of this mess in France. And yet they are hated and vilified here at home by the media, American Left and their Dem shills in Congress, and by many on the Right as well.
As a result, our next president will probably be an appeaser, just like Chirac.
