Michael Schiavo thinking of his own political future when he endorsed Tim Kaine(D)? (that Schiavo)

Why did Michael Schiavo, a Floridian with Pennsylvania roots, endorse Democrat Tim Kaine's run for Virginia governor?
Your guess is as good as Kaine's, whose campaign first learned the news on Wednesday after Schiavo's PR firm gave the mini-scoop to the Washington Post. The maneuver was meant to motivate base Democrats in Virginia six days before the Nov. 8 vote. Schiavo's statement said lots of mean things about Jeb Bush and Florida, and only a few nice things about Kaine and Virginia.
This makes us wonder: Is Schiavo focused on Virginia's well being, or his own political future? Doesn't Florida hold its own gubernatorial contest next year? Schiavo's spokesman told us that the widower has no plans to run for office "at this point.... He's just saying that the debate between Kaine and Jerry Kilgore is exactly the kind of thing he's talking about."
Speculation aside, Schiavo re-emerges at a critical juncture in the 2005 political arch. Terri Schiavo's tragic case, and the GOP's reaction to it, helped launch a downward spiral last spring that continues today. That spiral, it seems, could help Kaine next week, far more than any endorsement ever could.

I'll never forget the photo of the sterile, white Pinellas County van pulling away from the Hospice the day she died. why couldn't they even hire a proper vehicle? was she state property?

This Schiavo endorsement of the democrat is NOT going to do what either PR firm hopes.
The MSM and liberal pundits don't realize that the criticism of Bush about Terri Schiavo is LACK of timely action and their surrender to MSM biased news.
Not their intended help. But, the MSM, as usual, gets it wrong.

BARF ALERT?!
If he's endorsing this Kaine guy, whether Kaine wants his endorsement or not, that'd make me not vote for Kaine in any coming election.
Mickey's PR firm is the Scientologo-wacko lackeys. They want the world for a "better" future, unmarred by the disabled "scum" and others that have failed to pass their "test".
People ought to be VERY afraid. If we can't protect life, what argument do we have for anything else?

Only interested if there's news of his assuming room temperature.

Protecting dignity is as important as protecting life, to some maybe more important. M.S. may be a liberal, in which case he's an idiot, but he's not Hitler for following his wife's wishes. Wish you'd people quit trying to match, neuron for neuron, the compulsive, agenda-driven personal insanity of the denizens of Democratic Underground.

He is in the news because his spouse was the subject of mass media, rightfully so. She is no longer with us, why in the world does his voice have such importance? Well, at least it is the democrat's that are shameful using this man to further their cause. Such morals, the left has, eh?

This guy doesn't have a prayer at running for dog catcher. If the whole business surrounding his wife won't ruin it for him, then having a tape sitting in the studios of WPHT-AM in Philadelphia in which he threatens the life of one of his many critics surely will.

Yahh...let him run...for ANYTHING.
I don't really care. Just because the media distorted the story bad enough that people sided with him...kinda, when they didn't know the whole story, doesn't mean they actually LIKE him.
Nobody likes Benidict Arnold. Even the British didn't.

He's got no political future in Florida.

It was the brother, Scott, actually. That was on the Dom Giordano Show regarding Glenn Beck.
It's been a while now, thank God.

I just thought he was a grieving husband whose only reason for the media attention was to do what is right for his beloved wife Terri. Seems he must have had other motives??

Good luck with that, Mike.
Michael Schiavo's problem...well, actually, his main problem in my opinion is that he's a murdering sack of feces...but aside from that, a major obstacle to his running for office is that he'd be perfectly cast as the creepy husband in the Lifetime Network movie about the Schiavo case if it weren't for one small fact: He actually is that guy.
(...and George Felos would be equally perfect to play the even creepier lawyer, except, again, he is that guy.)
