THIRTY police were hurt, two of them seriously, when they were shot at while responding to unrest south of Paris, police said.
It is the 11th night of urban violence in Paris's run-down suburbs.
The riot squad officers were hit by buckshot fired from pistols and hunting rifles in the suburb of Grigny.
The two badly injured were hospitalised while the 27 others were treated on the spot.
One officer was slightly hurt by buckshot in nearby Draveil.
A school and a kindergarten were set on fire in the same region, police said, adding that 30 people were arrested.

These idiots don't realize this is a war, and the only way they are gonna win this thing is to call in the army. Throwing croissants at these animals ain't gonna cut it.

Do the french even know what buckshot is?
Maybe they think it is a page from buckhead.com, LOL!

That ain't gonna happen. The "French Youths", aka "Methodists" will call for concessions from the Western French Government for land and autonomy. The French will give it to them.

The French channel LCI just showed police holding up the ejected shells. They were definitely shotgun shells, perhaps about 20 ga. size.

...officers were hit by buckshot fired from pistols and hunting rifles...With this kind of "reporting" we'll never know what is going on in France. But then who counts on "the media" to get information.

Buckshot from pistols and rifles. Buckshot comes from shotguns. This reporter is full of crap. Consider the source.

What is it with all the schools being burned? So they'll have no choice except to go to the Islamic schools the Saudis are bankrolling?

Looks more like a 12 ga to me. Look at the brass diameter in relation to the finger.

"What is it with all the schools being burned?" It's a true or false answer:
(1). They represent education, something muslims seem to hate.
(2). The schools teach 'infidel' education and must be destroyed.
(3). The public schools represent the government of France.
(4). They just burn very nicely.
(5). all of the above.

I reckon the gage doesn't matter, compared to what size shot they are using. I would guess that they are not using buckshot since, according to
El Mundo 34 policemen have been shot but only two of them seriously.

Poor Chirac...I bet he's Chirac'n his pants about right now.
The only chance the French had to win this one was to shoot to kill on day one, but they didn't have the guts.
Now the French can begin the torturous process of conceding to Islam one inch at a time. France thought it was good enough for Israel now let's see how they like it.

I've always found jacketed projectiles work better from rifle and handguns. The media is a large group of morons.

Not so. At CLOSE range, birdshot is very lethal, and will easily remove the greater part of ones' head.

Chirac is getting serious. Time for a well coordinated campaign of sternly worded letters to the editor.
