Family members are investigating what they consider to be suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a nursing home patient at the center of a life and death tug-of-war reminiscent of the Terri Schiavo tragedy.
Seventy-nine-year-old Jimmy Chambers died in the early morning hours of Oct. 24 after the tracheotomy tubes that deliver oxygen from a ventilator to a hole in his neck became unhooked. Family members were told Chambers, a resident of the Anne Maria Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in North Augusta, S.C., apparently pulled the interlocking tubes apart.
"We're having it investigated. We're just incredulous," Chambers' daughter, Deanna Potter, told WND in reference to her siblings. "The last time I saw dad he was blowing me a kiss. I blew him one and he blew one back."
The retired dispatcher for Holland Motor Express died approximately 10 hours later. His death certificate indicates he died of "natural causes."
"Apparently, suffocation is a 'natural cause' when you're on a ventilator. We're contesting that," said Potter. "He suffocated. He didn't just pass away. He struggled and fought. And I'm just so angry."
Potter estimates it would have taken 10 to 14 minutes for her father, deprived of oxygen, to fall unconscious, and questions why the nursing home staff didn't come to his aid.
"The oxygen-saturation meter and his ventilator both would have had alarms going off. Four-thirty, five o'clock in the morning you'd think someone would hear this," she added. "That's the thing that really bothers me and makes me suspicious."

Let's see...When I contacted McCabe to say that his endorsement of Judge Greer in 2004 was ILLEGAL, his staff said it was o.k. When locals by the dozens contacted State Atty McCabe, HE REFUSED to INVESTIGATE SCHIAVO-GATE of which he is a part.

And, back in Tampa, as of today, JOE REDNER is still saying he's gay and the media is wondering why he would come out now? One reason may be BECAUSE Terri's no threat to Florida's status quo: the aclu, the sci-fis and to the middle district court in Tampa, J. Whittemore, Redner's buddy.

Crist will NOT be Florida's next Governor by the looks of scandal brewing back in his home turf. All they had to do was investigate GREER and company and let Terri live. They refused. All of them.
Now McCabe is turning on his partners in crime before the 2006 elections. Remember McCabe was on Terri's death squad. DO NOT VOTE FOR MCCABE if he's up for Pinellas State Atty in 2006.

I am not anti-gay but if the gay guy is also w/the ACLU and the Atheists of Florida and they were cheering Judge Whittemore on as he tortured Terri hour upon hour, and defied the US Congress and President, under those conditions, I am against gaydom.
Judge Whittemore SHOULD HAVE RECUSED instead of torturing Terri for his friends.

There's a lawyer in St Pete who also either owns or runs a porn business. He also has a firm that does Elder Law and Estate Planning. Wouldn't it suck if they were using some of the interest from estate money to fund their perversion?
The same guy also donated to Greer's campaign.
I've noticed that many lawyers in Florida have businesses related to property. No brain surgeon needed to figure that out, bilking estates and property are hand in hand for the crooks.
I still think there is a major connection that we haven't figured out.
I've also wondered whether Battaglia or others made deals with young folks who were caught with drugs to work in the strip clubs or do porn to get out of jail. God only knows what utter wickedness may be going on down there in the name of the law.

The irony is nearly unbelievable. Libs in California claimed bloodthirsty Tookie was innocent, killed by the State. Those same would applaud the State of Florida for killing a real innocent.

The point of "brain death," contrived by a committee at Harvard, is that the patient is NOT dead. The reason for calling it death is to harvest the patient's still living organs for transplants. This is enormously profitable for the hospital. There is a five or six-figure incentive for finding the patient "brain dead" even if that is fudging or outrightly false. The testing amounts to banging the patient around to see if he responds. Mostly they bang the head. Don't want to injure harvestable organs, now, do we?
Hospitals nowadays all seem to have a team of organ harvest surgeons standing by to slice up un-dead patients. There are plenty of physicians who find this practice grisly and out of keeping with medical ethics.
For what, marksmanship?
There's a missing piece to the puzzle and the puzzle's huge.

I would take some issue with your remark, that folks who are declared 'brain dead' are not really dead, but rather are declared so, so that organs may be harvested...
My son was declared 'brain dead'...and he was not banged around, mostly around the head...I dont know that I even believe that ever really happens, but I do know for a fact it never happened to my son...
First of all, there would be no financial reason for any hospital to declare my son 'brain dead', as his organs could not be harvested...he died of a cerebral hemmorhage, due to low platelettes, due to APL leukemia...his organs could have never been used, as he had cancer...people with cancer cannot donate their organs, not even their corneas...I know this for sure, as I even inquired and asked the doctor if at least his corneas could be used to give someone else sight...I was told absolutely not...nothing from a patient who dies from cancer, can ever be used for any type of a transplant...
And the tests that were done to determine brain death were not 'banging' my son around...thats insulting to me, and to others who have entrusted their dying children to the pediatric oncologists who treat these children, ,and suffer when they die...my son had his brain waves monitored constantly(there were no brain waves)...he had a test done to see if there was any oxygen going to his brain(there was not), he was taken off the ventilator to see if he would began breathing on his own(he did not)...
And even if I had not wanted to disconnect my son from the ventilator, because he was found to be 'brain dead', by several doctors, who had no vested financial interest in harvesting his organs, because he was found to be 'brain dead', in the state of Washington, that is considered legally 'dead', and the docs could have disconnected my son without my consent or approval(at least this is the way it was when he died in 1985)
It may be that some doctors have overstepped the line, in declaring someone dead who may not be actually dead, but you certainly do seem to think that what you have described is common practice...and I simply dont believe it...
