Family members are investigating what they consider to be suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a nursing home patient at the center of a life and death tug-of-war reminiscent of the Terri Schiavo tragedy.
Seventy-nine-year-old Jimmy Chambers died in the early morning hours of Oct. 24 after the tracheotomy tubes that deliver oxygen from a ventilator to a hole in his neck became unhooked. Family members were told Chambers, a resident of the Anne Maria Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in North Augusta, S.C., apparently pulled the interlocking tubes apart.
"We're having it investigated. We're just incredulous," Chambers' daughter, Deanna Potter, told WND in reference to her siblings. "The last time I saw dad he was blowing me a kiss. I blew him one and he blew one back."
The retired dispatcher for Holland Motor Express died approximately 10 hours later. His death certificate indicates he died of "natural causes."
"Apparently, suffocation is a 'natural cause' when you're on a ventilator. We're contesting that," said Potter. "He suffocated. He didn't just pass away. He struggled and fought. And I'm just so angry."
Potter estimates it would have taken 10 to 14 minutes for her father, deprived of oxygen, to fall unconscious, and questions why the nursing home staff didn't come to his aid.
"The oxygen-saturation meter and his ventilator both would have had alarms going off. Four-thirty, five o'clock in the morning you'd think someone would hear this," she added. "That's the thing that really bothers me and makes me suspicious."

I know the feeling. More than once I've had to go up against the scary idea that party loyalty is more important than principle. Even stranger are those on FR to whom party loyalty is irrelevant so long as you swear blind allegiance to some supposed Great Leader from that party.
Too often people, when they realize they've been duped, think they'll spare themselves some embarrassment if they don't admit it in public. So they go into denial. The most effective form of denial is to hide the pain of being duped behind blind loyalty to some leader - who they wish was all powerful.
So true,WSC!! Stubbornness and pride contribute to their denial. What's wrong with not knowing, it's the beginning of learning.
ANNA...She's the female Michael Schiavo imo. "
LOL! That was FV's quote!
Yet, with all the damage her body sustained, discovered thru X-rays, MRIs or whatever, and the opinions of some neurologists, if true, it points to physical abuse.
I believe I've read everything there is to read involving this case, which I definitely believe ended with murder.
If you put any credence in Dr. Baden's opinion, Terri's injuries were compatible with strangulation.
We don't know if we will ever hear the truth. My suspicion is that there is something very unsavory about the Florida judges involved, and I will include the FL legislature which decided that providing food and water intravenously to a patient (I can't think of the terminology), was an artifical means of life support. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm going to say that was 1999.
Greer applied it, retroactively, to Terri Schiavo.
Earlier today I read an account of this sad saga: The website is:
endeavorfreedom.org/Art90.htm
I saw it as a clear account of what occurred in Pinellas County, FL. Before I reached the end, Scientology jumped into my mind. Yes, that was the writer's belief. That Scientology had it's handwriting on this tragedy.
Never did I read that any doctor gave Terri six or less months to live. I was appalled, angered, that, through subterfuge, Michael, along with Felos, deposited her in the Woodside Hospice. I BELIEVE they broke the law there, and Greer assisted them in breaking the law in other areas of this case.
Are you a troll?
Meanwhile I noticed the troll tag team, the freeper-sleepers and usual suspects slipped quietly away. Used to be they were more vigorous. Now they scatter at the first risk of exposure.
Maybe it is a new tactic.

Excerpt.
We, like virtually everyone in the world watched in horror and helplessness as the most public execution ever was carried out in Florida and a probate court judge in Pinellas County created a horrendous precedent, firmly endorsing the throw-a-way society in the United States, the culture of death, sanctioning judicial homicide, glorifying and empowering the euthanasia movement.
We watched the same people who thought it was right to kill Terri Schiavo fight to save convicted murderer Tookie Williams.

"people surely pay high prices for marrying the wrong person"
They sure do....use the courts to rid yourself of your spouse and collect their monies. You just need the right lawyer and of course you MUST have the right judge.
The love of money is the root of all evil.
I meant to reply to you too about the Troll Tag Team and the freeper sleepers.

Take a thorough look at previous threads and you will find Scientology surrounded Pinellas Park like a dark cloud. The cozy quarters of Judge Greed in Clearwater is indeed adjacent to Scientology Central and their troops hovered around the hospice like the buzzards circling overhead.
I agree. I even mentioned Scientology's possible connection several years back and was warned off discussing it on these threads by other posters.
Back then, I also mentioned the connection between 1) Rice, Greer and other politicians, 2) the public relations firm of Repper, Garcia and 3) Garcia's work as a reporter for the St. Petersburg Times 4) Repper's connection with Scientology
A lot of these connections are summed up, more recently, on FreeRepublic at http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1400868/posts
It's a short thread, with a lot of interesting connections and I had saved it to my links page.
About three years ago, I was warned off mentioning the Scientology connection on Free Republic, when I posted some of the more obvious connections.
Meanwhile, I've continued to post the more blatant Scientology connections, on and off. (I can only check into the Terri threads at certain times, so my research and posting has been spotty.)
If Terri's parents had been given the radiology results sooner, someone might have been able to go after Michael soon enough to stop him.
Michael and his supporters were/are very good at suppressing information.
Also, isn't Tampa-St. Pete the fourth or fifth highest crime center in the nation? Miami, Detroit, and Dallas have been fighting over first place.
Repper, Garcia, and AssociatesGreer and Martha Lenderman* have both used the same PR company.
That PR company has a partner who worked for Florida newspapers.
Wayne Garcia spent 13 years in daily print journalism as a reporter and editor for the Gainesville Sun, Tampa Tribune and St. Petersburg Times. Most recently he was editor-in-chief of ReviewNet, where his work founding the on-line site was awarded Best Online Newspaper (Small) by Editor & Publisher/The Kelsey Group.
Is this PR-newspaper connection affecting the way Florida papers cover Terri's case?
*Martha Lenderman is the wife of Greer's fellow judge. She is also on the Board of the Hospice that Terri has been in. (The PR company heped her in her campaign for State Rep. ---District 51 - 1998, it helped Greer in 1992)
Don't forget that Greer is also tied to Judge Demers (R) and Whitemoore (D) and the GOP pols like Charles Crist, Everett Rice, Bernie McCabe, James King, a sordid lot.
Go back to my post #999. Whatever PC wishes some may have had about this being another "religion" not to attack unfairly, this is the "elephant in the room".
Unlike other religions which may suffer unfair criticism, this gang was in our face.
