Paris-Area Riots Spread To 20 Towns(Update)

AULNAY-SOUS-BOIS, France -- A week of riots in poor neighborhoods outside Paris gained dangerous new momentum Thursday, with youths shooting at police and firefighters and attacking trains and symbols of the French state.

Facing mounting criticism, Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin vowed to restore order as the violence that erupted Oct. 27 spread to at least 20 towns, highlighting the frustration simmering in housing projects that are home to many North African immigrants.

Police deployed for a feared eighth night of clashes, after bands of youths lobbing stones and petrol bombs ignored President Jacques Chirac's appeal for calm a day earlier.

"I will not accept organized gangs making the law in some neighborhoods. I will not accept having crime networks and drug trafficking profiting from disorder," Villepin said at the Senate in between emergency meetings called over the riots.

The unrest cast a cloud over the end of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month. In Clichy-sous-Bois _ heart of the rioting _ men filled the Bilal mosque for evening prayers, but streets were subdued with shops shutting early.

Islamic governance has only three choices 1. convert to islam and live by the rules of islam OR 2 submit to living under the rule of islam even if you don't convert and accept islam's rule as absolute or 3 DIE.

Goo point. In Islam, the faith is seen as NOT just a religion, but an entire social system intended to transform the entire society, including government.

Now, not all Muslims think this way, but many do; likely those young angry Muslims identify with that fundamentalist law school of Islam due to the crap France has tossed at them.

Without itjihad, Islam is only Koran at the core, and so many seem to believe Islam is meant to be forced on others.

Although I have no love for France, either, I too am praying. If they don't take care of it, you know who eventually will have to.

What we are witnessing in France is a beautiful thing. We are seeing free expression, which the French rave about always, from Muslim youths, whom the French invited into their country. The native Frenchman must explore this expression and embrace it for it is the loving thing to do and understand the anger that eminates from the Muslim. Not to do so would be, well... American. These tolerable (as Kerry likes to put it) skirmishes will not inconvenience the average Parisian's croissant and expresso time if the matter is quickly dealt with, the French way. Appeasement... I mean, diplomacy has always helped the French to effectively work with its Muslim population and plant the seed of temporary peace (Chamberlain). And when this seed burst open (Invasion of the Body Snatchers), the French will be no more.

Maybe the UN can insist on France coming to the table for peace talks. Then vote on weather the France should be run into the sea, and how fast.

The UN could decide how France is to be divided and what reparations should be made for all of Frances Illegal wars on "the religion of peace".

It's a very strange co-habitation. France is a very liberal, sexually free nation where anything goes! Homosexuality, prostitution, and rampant, unexplained sex scenes in so-called intellectual avant garde films. Muslims are just the opposite yet France takes them in. How stupid can a country be not to see the outcome and it's going to get worse when you harbor people who disapprove of you and think your lifestyle is an abomination. Keep it up France.

Hey, the French are too busy being worried about McDonalds and Starbucks franchises eroding their cultural identity to see the real threat. I wonder how many other nations have been lost due to such a glaring failure to prioritize?
