I know Rush listeners have to be on top of everything, so here's some things to keep handy. Forgive the length.

Very Important FReepers, and in need of action:

Pass this on:

The Ninth Circuit decision yesterday.
Parents Have No Rights With Regard To Their Child's Sex Education

“There is no fundamental right of parents to be the exclusive provider of information regarding sexual matters to their children.”

Also this needs action. The butchering of the dead soldier by the NYT:

LIBBY PROSECUTOR LINKED SADDAM TO OSAMA? (Ras)

Who is representing Libby. (SF Gate, keep a bag handy)Libby bolstered his defense team this week with two well-known criminal trial lawyers, Ted Wells and William Jeffress.

Wells won acquittals for former Agriculture Secretary Michael Espy and former Labor Secretary Raymond Donovan. He is a partner at the New York-based firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.

Jeffress is from the firm Baker Botts, where Bush family friend and former Secretary of State James A. Baker is a senior partner. Jeffress has won acquittals for public officials accused of extortion, perjury, money laundering, and vote-buying, his firm's Web site says.

The judge handling Libby's case, U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton, is an appointee of three Republican presidents.

Early in his career, Walton was a highly respected trial lawyer for the U.S. attorney's office in the District of Columbia. When President Reagan appointed him to D.C. Superior Court, Walton became known as a no-nonsense judge who was tough on sentencing street criminals. He served as the senior White House adviser for crime in the administration of President Bush's father before returning to Superior Court. In 2001, President Bush nominated Walton to the U.S. District Court.

Ignoring Sen. Rockefeller's WMD Hypocrisy

Despite the impression left by mainstream media coverage, it wasn't just Bush or a dastardly neo-conservative cabal saying Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction: Sen. John Kerry said so in a Senate speech before the war, as did Democratic Sen. John D. Rockefeller.

But David Johnston's front-page Saturday story on the Senate's just-released intelligence report mentions none of this, instead using Rockefeller as his chief Bush critic: "Senator John D. Rockefeller IV of West Virginia, the senior Democrat on the committee, said the report 'failed to explain the environment of intense pressure in which intelligence community officials were asked to render judgments on matters relating to Iraq, when policy officials had already forcefully stated their own conclusions in public.' Mr. Rockefeller, recalling that President Bush described Saddam Hussein in March 2002 as 'a dangerous man who possesses the world's most dangerous weapons,' said such comments put pressure on intelligence agencies to conform with the president's views."

That's some chutzpah on the part of Rockefeller given that Bush in March 2002 sounds a lot like Rockefeller even later in the run-up to the war.

Here's an excerpt from an October 2002 Rockefeller speech on the Senate floor (http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/004/315wepic.asp), not mentioned by Johnston: "There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years. And that may happen sooner if he can obtain access to enriched uranium from foreign sources--something that is not that difficult in the current world. We should also remember that we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction….He is working to develop delivery systems like missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles that could bring these deadly weapons against U.S. forces and U.S. facilities in the Middle East."

Democrats are stalling release of Barrett report

http://prorev.com/2005/10/democrats-are-stalling-release-of.htm

Break:

Counsel David Barrett's Report ...Ready Soon?
From Byron York at NRO (http://corner.nationalreview.com/05_10_16_corner-archive.asp), the Senate voted tonight to cut off funds to Independent Counsel David Barrett's office -- he has spent about $20 million investigating former Housing Secretary Henry Cisneros since 1995. Most importantly, lawmakers required that Barrett's report be released to the public within 60 days of final passage of the law.
Back in April, 2005, I wrote (http://www.movermike.com/posts/1128355523.shtml) the WSJ (http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110006594)had a story about Senators Byron Dorgan, John Kerry and Richard Durbin trying to block the release of a special council's report.

Then according to the Daily News (http://www.nydailynews.com/news/story/351902p-300116c.html), Hillary's lawyers tryed to quash Bennett's report. I asked why would Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton try to quash the release of the special council's report after all these years?

After Cisneros was convicted, Barrett started looking into allegations that IRS and Justice Department aides stymied a tax fraud case against the disgraced Housing and Urban Development secretary and audited Clinton critics.
Apparently the 420-page final report will include alleged abuses of power by the Clinton Administration and that report could come out during Sen Hillary Rodham Clinton's re-election campaign!
Now the American people will finally get to read the report, for which we paid $20 Million, about the abuse of power that took place in the Clinton adnministration, if, that is, both houses pass the bill!

Desperately need links to list of wrongdoing in Clinton administration that the Dems covered up or let the perp stay on the job.

I'm in correspondence with a raving liberal (retired State Department....retired, thank God) who is sending me email about Michael Brown and Libby as examples of not-doing and wrongdoing under our President.

I know there were some Clinton cabinet members or appointees who had to "resign".....also Dem congressman Alcee Hastings, convicted of some crime, still serving.....Tony Cuehlo, maybe?

I thought I saw such a list at some point in time on FR. Can anyone help out here with links or good memory?
