That's why more and more oil companies are getting into the convenience business as well, killing off franchises keeping them in-house.

Saw a lady on Fox this morning saying that Rove should take a leave of absence to best help President Bush, because Rove is clearly distracted and Bush is suffering.
She said her comments had nothing to do with the fact she's a Dem. LOL.
ROFLMAO! Who exactly is he supposed to be distracting?? The only ones he distracts are the DEMS and he drives them crazy, which is a GOOD thing for the White House.

I think people are mad at the Oil Companies would realize the REAL problem is an overreaching Fed and State Govt. For example, does YOUR state have this law? In Minnesota the REQUIRED price per gallon MUST be at least $.08 OVER wholesale. The argument is that "We must protect the little guy from being squeezed out by the big chains". The result is a complete negation of free market forces on the price of gas.

The population now is only about 10,000. They probably had one bus, whites only.

that along with letting the arabs have control over supply are big mistakes. We needed to drill in anwar and more in the gulf "10 years ago", now it may be too late.

Keep in mind, taxes at the pump are a per gallon amount regardless of price. So, higher price lowers percentage of tax and vice versa. Added after that are corporate taxes. Increased profits means higher taxes but don't really effect the tax per gallon at the pump. Most people try to raise the tax as price at the pump rises but it doesn't work that way.

I grew up in a town of about 15,000 we had NO bus line except for the School buses and THEY picked the kids up only outside the city until the late 1970s.

French fighting Muslims. Hmmmm kind of hard to decide who to cheer for......While my hope is that the French can find some legacy of Charles Martel (the Hammer) in them, I as a betting man would have to lay my money on the Muzzies.

If it's so wrong for the oil companies to "profit off the backs of poor & suffering Americans" (as BOR says) and the oil companies are expected to redistribute their wealth, then what about everything/one else??
What about those rich Dr.s driving around in Rolls' with their multiple homes getting rich off the backs of poor and suffering Americans?
Come on people!!
