Paris riots spread throughout north-east Posted at 8:20pm on 3 Nov 2005
Violence broke out in impoverished Paris suburbs for the seventh straight night, with rioters clashing with police and leaving a trail of torched cars and vandalised buildings.
Observers are pointing to France's failure to address deep problems of poverty and immigration, including tensions with its Muslim minority.
In Aulnay-sous-Bois in the worst-affected area of Seine-Saint-Denis, a police station was briefly besieged by gangs of youths while a gymnasium and a garage were set ablaze and a commercial centre vandalised.
A total of 40 vehicles, including two buses, were torched before midnight in nine towns in the Seine-Saint-Denis area, a high-unemployment largely-immigrant region. Police made 15 arrests.
Two primary schools were also damaged in the area northeast of the French capital.
The riots started last Thursday following the accidental electrocution of two youths, aged 15 and 17, who had scaled an electrical relay station's walls to escape a police identity check in Clichy-sous-Bois.
The firing of a police tear gas grenade against a mosque in Clichy-sous-Bois during clashes on Sunday also sparked rage in the suburb's large Muslim community.

And this is the result of two "Mooslim yutes" (Vinny)electrocuting themselves. Imagine if the cops actually shot them.

"The riots started last Thursday following the accidental electrocution of two youths, aged 15 and 17, who had scaled an electrical relay station's walls to escape a police identity check in Clichy-sous-Bois."Sounds like it worked out perfectly.

What is the EU and the rest of Europe going to do when this spreads outside of Paris..France... Denmark. Well, they could all go to the beaches of Dunkirk for evacuation to......Uh Oh. UK has the same problem. They're f**ked!

Prepared, organized, no doubt. Those that participate in the rioting, are muslim immigrants that just will not conform to French (infidel) laws and regulations, and, being primitive and uncultivated, only respect what they fear.
Only two remedies: immediate mass repatriations, or a .30 calibre machine gun on every police vehicle.

Substitute "Mexicans" for "Muslims".

OK, and how many of us here more or less predicted that France/Europe would be facing something like this crap? Mooslems are NOT peace activists. They are killers, looters and embrace a child molester as their Patron saint. France welcomes them and this is what they do?
Serves France right. They are getting what they deserve.

I begrudgingly agree that I think Europe is going to take in the shorts with this... if it does come to civil war in France... that I feel will quickly digress into a Continental war...or guerrilla warfare.. which I do not think the french are really prepared to handle... the Brits on the other hand would have a tough go of it, but they are use to fighting a guerrilla war... heck they did for 30 years with the IRA...

Difference though in that many Mexicans that came here legally even some illegally feel more allegiance to America then the do Mexico... they make up one of the largest groups of foreign nationals fighting in our armed forces right now... I don't think the Muslims that are doing this over in Europe are of that same ilk.

This is a stupid question, but does anyone know if, overall, this is as bad as it sounds? Is this the sort of thing the police over there are capable of putting down w/ anything short of extreme force?

Makes you wonder what it will take before European states start mass deportations.

7 night of rioting in nine cities in France... rioting for 4 days in Denmark is pretty bad... the police are not reacting with overt force in hopes of not creating a massive conflict... the police chief in Paris stated the tension is bordering on civil war.. that was stated a couple of posts back in this thread... it is pretty bad.

I lived in Paris for 14 years.
Even in the mid-eighties, French people were telling me that the suburbs ( don't think of them in the same vein as Suburban America) around Paris were a ring of time bombs waiting to explode.
I can't say I am at all surprised. When law and order goes, and lawlessness goes unchecked, anarchy results.
Chirac fiddles, and debates, while Paris burns.

This is an intifada in Paris.Surely not. It can't be the peace loving Mooslims. My TV tells me it's just another lot of poor underprivileged downtrodden repressed people. Surely my TV is not lying to me. How dare you sir!
