The Media ( news & entertainment ) seems to have devolved into an incestuous echo chamber, fever swamp, push-poll and focus group-- or at least, it has all the worst characteristics of those groups.
When the French get all mideaval on these idiots, how will the MSM react? They are going to be in a real bind, after promoting the French as all things good and reasonable and holy, compared to that knuckle-dragger Bush...
Maybe they will get lucky and there will be some Right-Of-(French)-Center politician they can blame it on...
I remember being in Brooklyn during the Crown Heights riots, when (former) Mayor Dinkins decided to hold back the NYPD to let the riot "burn itself out". Big mistake.
Gotta disagree...the French don't react that way...thie riots will continue, fester..they'll be some spark...mauybe a French girls gets gang raped by a bunch of Muslim thugs, then the French paramilitary police move in, and BANG!!!
More like a pogrom than a riot, my friend..You are absolutely correct, but in the "department of unintended consequences" that riot, and the tragic death of Yankel Rosenbauim, probably led to Guiliani's election as mayor, and put him in the right place on 9/11..Rudy is now an iconic figure, and deservedly so.but we have already forgotten that before 9/11 most of the city wanted him gone..
Amen.
France is the target for radical Islam because its possible. First they have a large fifth column in place, they have a large and nearly unguarded border and like the rest of the West the modern taboos of liberalism will prevent action when it is needed. Islam will have its nuclear armed base in the heart of Europe even faster than Tony Blankely imagined.
"Is Paris Burning?"
Couldn't burn fast enough. I hope the Germans and the Russians are watching because they are next.
Now its time to wrap our fears in the night
And on the first day we'll dress this city in flames
After all the things you say
You hate me for being this way
Still you won't let go of old ideals
There is no headline to read at night
When the record slips and you're not holding the needle
We all sing the songs of separation
And we watch our lives bleed out through our hands
Thats how it was on the first day
We saw Paris in Flames
I figure the proven track record of dealing with thugs and unruly crowds by the Chicago (Democratic convention of 1968), Philly (burning down a row house full of thugs) and Jacksonville (1985 Florida-Georgia game melee) cops will more than suffice.
Islam = Religion of Peace
The dead are very peaceful.
Therefore: Religion of Peace = Religion of Death
Different time, different issues. Don't confuse all riots together as the same.
