You have to listen today. Reid just invoked Rule 21 in Congress calling for a closed hearing on Libby indictment investigation.
Lott and Frist are heated.

Democrats were hoping for Fitzmas and got a lump of coal in their stockings. They were waiting to trash Harriet Miers in the hearings as a Bush crony and she withdrew, and now they have the uber-brilliant Alito who they can't touch. Cindy Sheehan has used up her 15 minutes of fame. In six weeks Iraq will have its first demoocratically elected government, which will immediately ask the U.S. troops to stay. Karl Rove is still in the White House. Gas prices are heading back down toward $2.00 by the end of the year. GDP is up. And Tom DeLay just got a new judge.
Sucks to be them.

I want to hear him answer it under oath. That's the trouble with Senate investigations too many of them are asking questions when most of them should be testifying.

If Bush would say this, or anything like this and put an end to all this nicey nice kissy face huggy pie warm fuzzy bull crap, the democrats would be dead meat and NEVER recover enough to make any kind of real showing in the elections next November. It would catapault the conservative agenda and morale to never before seen heights if he had an evening statement like this on prime time. The liberals would never recover:
"My fellow Americans. When I came to Washington five years ago, I said I would work with Democrats to do what was best for this nation, and work together for all Americans. The past five years, it has become evident beyond any argument that Democrat party is not interresting in working together for the common good, no matter how many times or how sincerely I reach out and try. They have thwarted my efforts and conspired to defame my character, and slander myself and those in my administration. Therefore, I no longer see any reason to continue wasting my efforts in trying to work with those who's priority and singular desire is slandering their opponants, and regaining control of the Congress and White House at all costs, no matter if it is based on the truth or lies, fact or disinformation, proof or slander. From this day forward, my efforts will be focused on putting forward the conservative Republican agenda, and I will no longer attempt to reach across the aisle as I have for five years, only to draw back a hand soaked with blood and scarred with bite marks all over it. Thank you. And God bless America."

Durbin now on with Chrissy...just so outrageous you can't believe it...
"it's been a very secretive administration and thanks to Fitzgerald and US now that we've DEMANDED to have an investigation"...
He never mentions the fact the investigation has been on going...and that Part 2 WAS ALREADY SCHEDULED for the 2nd week of November. (Apparently Sen Rockefeller neglected to notice that on his calendar before he called Roberts a liar)

You know the timing of this is interesting. Give the breaking news about extremely wide spread long term voter fraud in Detroit by the Democrat Machine could this Senatorial hissy fit just be a diversion tactic?</p>

Don't get me wrong, I still think the Senate is a problem, but the fire I've seen and heard from some Republican Senators about Alito, and now about this lame invocation of Rule 21, it quite encouraging. This may serve to get those real conservatives in the Senate to act on it. That's what needed. Words are cheap, actions are golden.
