From Fox News Live (11/1): because Supreme Court Judges "essentially make law" -Barbara Boxer
Ahem...
I hope the GOP saved the clip.
That statement would be useful not only in this confirmation, but in '06 when Judges will remain center stage in the primary reason Republicans should be elected.
Yes,insane.Obviously.
Yeah. You could tell that's what he meant. He had the clenched jaw going. I guess that if we elected him we wouldn't have to worry about nominating Supreme Court judges who are concerned about interpreting the Constitution correctly. Wouldn't that be great!
What the left wants is another Ruth Badder Ginsburg, a woman who does make law from the bench; Ginsburg is exactly the worst kind of lawyer when it comes to reading and executing the law as written.
Word on the street is that Ginsburg's health is in question - a vacancy on the Ginsburg bench would be welcome.
So sick of the "it its a moderate seat" BS argument. ACLU Ginsburg replaced Justice White, a Conservative, and the Libs had no problem moving the court to the left.
More of the Klintoon-ification of the English language.
Course "essentially" is simply defined as, "basically: at bottom or by one's (or its) very nature".
So, if I were to say, "Bill Clinton is, essentially, a liar" that would be an accurate statement because "by [his] very nature", he is, indeed, a lying sack of crap.
Judges, however, "by [their] very nature" make laws...at least that is NOT what the Constitution says.
Course, we are talking about Barbara Boxer, who is essentially a moron.
Good grief!
Immediate, mandatory attendance in Remedial Civics 101.
The only text for this class will be "The Constitution of the United States".
Your final grade will be determined by your end-of-term paper entitled, "The Three Branches of the American Government: Their Titles, Functions, and Powers as Defined by the U.S. Constitution."
I will grade the paper according to the following criteria:
1. Thorough and accurate knowledge of the subject matter;
2. Coherent expression of said knowledge; and
3. Standard English Grammar, to include spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and proper sentence structure.
Papers will not be evaluated beyond the third error.
Ms. Boxer, I do not expect to read beyond the title page of your paper.
Professor Alice
Libs just want to make this country an oversized San Francisco.
Have you noticed? Whenever dumb, stupid women want attention, they channel the voice of a little two year old girl, hoping to disarm the opposition. It's a variation of the Southern Belle Syndrome, a defense mechanism women have learned to use as a weapon.
Pattycakes Murray and Cindy Sheehan have this in common.
Please tell me that upon hearing that utter idiocy, Brit Hume first raised his eyebrows and then asked to her to go stand in the about-to-be-hosed-down line right behind Juan Williams.
LOL Dont't be so hard on Babs, she is from the land of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals after all.
Gotta disagree, my good friend, with your take on Bridget..she has a "soft" style of interviewing..which usually results in guests ramblig comfortably, and often saying stuff they wouldn't otherwise blab..like this gem..BTW..more and more the Dems are coming on FOX...they don't always get the warm welcome like at CNN and MSNBC, but they do get eyeballs..
Why do people vote for these clowns?
BTW Before reading your tagline I was planning on a bacon sandwich for breakfast. Perhaps I'll just have some toast instead. LOL!
It could be that Lautenberg is in a home, being fed strained carrots and having his diaper changed.
Ahem! Ahem! I see you both and raise you one!
No matter how many, they were deaf and blind!
"The colonel has obviously gone insane."
Yes,insane.Obviously.
Its time to terminate the colonel's command, (through the electoral process.) with extreme prejudice.
"Stuck on Stupid" defines Boxer and she keeps on proving it.
