It depends on what "essentially" means, I guess.

More of the Klintoon-ification of the English language.

Course "essentially" is simply defined as, "basically: at bottom or by one's (or its) very nature".

So, if I were to say, "Bill Clinton is, essentially, a liar" that would be an accurate statement because "by [his] very nature", he is, indeed, a lying sack of crap.

Judges, however, "by [their] very nature" make laws...at least that is NOT what the Constitution says.

Course, we are talking about Barbara Boxer, who is essentially a moron.

To paraphrase Roman Hruskra, "They are entitled to a little representation, aren't they, and a little chance?"

...although I'm not really too sure about them being entitled to the chance.
