Back in early, medieval Spain a Muslim princess, who was a direct decendent of Mohammed, was married off to a Christian noble in an arranged political marriage. They had a number of children, who were married off to nobility all over Europe.
So, yes, his royal nitwittedness is probably a direct decendent of Mohammed. Which would explain a lot. :-)
