LOS ANGELES - George Takei, who as helmsman Sulu steered the Starship Enterprise through three television seasons and six movies, has come out as a homosexual in the current issue of Frontiers, a biweekly Los Angeles magazine covering the gay and lesbian community.
Oh say it ain't so. Crud. He's so amusing. I never noticed he was THAT snappy of a dresser. 8)

Sorry to dissapoint you, but I intervieuwed Brent Spiner as well, and I am convinced that at some time in or after his career he will throw the clausit-doors wide open and burst into the room singing Liza Minelli-songs.

Hey once Captain Kirk did the alien green chick in that one episode, what's the big deal about one of flight deck officers being gay?
I mean really.........if the Captain of a Federation Starship could actually do a green alien woman....... :-)
To simplify my life, I'm just going to assume that everyone is Hollywood is gay until proven otherwise. Not that it will change my life one iota.

No argument here, I just tend to be a little skeptical about accusations of being gay thrown at anyone and everyone.
BTW, the only 'false positive' I ever got on gaydar was a show business type. I guess he worked around so many of them, he picked up some of the mannerisms and such.

I would not have believed such "acusations" myself but spending the better part of an hour with the guy, left me convinced that this was no false-positive or aquired mannerism.
