I used to buy into the ominous sound of grand jury indictments, but after the last few years I'm much more sceptical of prosecutor motivation.

I just can't see what he did that was illegal I agree ... but it all depends on what Fritz says
If it's not something more then what we know .. Fitz will look like a fool

George Bush's top adviser will not be indicted over allegations he blew the cover of a CIA agent - but Dick Cheney's chief of staff will be prosecuted, according to reports.
Karl Rove, who was accused of leaking the information to a journalist, told reporters he would not be indicted.
But Lewis Libby will be prosecuted, Associated Press reported.
A raft of top White House officials could find themselves facing criminal charges today over the leaking of the CIA agent's name to a reporter.
Special prosecutor Patrick Fitgerald is announcing the results of his two-year probe into the saga.
The investigation was sparked when journalist Robert Novak revealed the wife of US ambassador Joseph Wilson, Valerie Palme, was a CIA agent.
Mr Wilson had accused the US government of twisting intelligence to justify an attack on Iraq.
It is alleged Mrs Palme's name was leaked by the White House in retaliation for Mr Wilson's criticism, so ending her career.
Disclosing the identity of a CIA agent is a crime.
Rove and Libby deny leaking Mrs Palme's name.
Other current and former administration officials could also face charges.

Given his track record of indicting 50 Republicans and 2 Democrats, I think that speaks for itself.

In other words, that crime was not committed. The reason for the investigation was not validated. Don't look now but Chucky Schumer is explaining who President should nominate for the SC! PUKE ALERT!!!

Wouldn't it be great if he chastised the media for all of their speculation... Now that would be funny.

Given that Fitz is running his operation out of "Counter Espionage" offices at DoJ (as reported in the WashPost last week), I would agree that the Wilsons have been and remain a target of interest.Have either of them appeared before the Grand Jury?

Here's the bet - someone lower will be charged (maybe not indicted today, but perhaps charged by information i.e. a cooperating witness) with the leak. Libby will be charged for the cover-up or facilitating the leak.

I just can't see what he did that was illegalHe forgot about a meeting.
According to the MSM, this is what Fitz has arrived at as the result of a 2-year counter-espionage investigation.
Maybe he'll get Rove for jaywalking.

The White House could kill two birds with one stone with the announcement that Fitzgerald is the new SCOTUS nominee. In fact, Rove could make the announcement! lol

If that is your standard, I guess you can thank the left for indicting Osama and for convicting the blind sheikh and the embassy bombers.

I got up at 3:30 this morning. My cat O'Reilly pulled the phone off the hook, upset a small chair side garbage can in the living room, and turned on the kitchen lights! LOL!
He's been busy! LOL!

Libby should hire Victoria Toensing since she wrote the law. lol! The problem is that Libby probably won't be charged for violating that law, but rather, for perjury and obstruction of justice during the course of the investigation.
